The broader market, tracked by the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA:SPY), is at $770.39, up 0.1%. Against both funds, Trump Media's drop stands out from its sector and from the S&P 500.

What's Pushing Trump Media Toward Its 52-Week Low

The latest drop adds to a steep, steady decline for Trump Media shares. Over the past month, Trump Media stock is down 34%. Measured year to date, the stock is down 54%. Across the past year, the loss reaches 62%.

That decline leaves Trump Media just above its 52-week low of $5.94 and far below its 52-week high of $17.09. Some of the pressure matches weakness in communication services stocks, as the XLC ETF's dip shows, though Trump Media's losses run much deeper.
