Free Paper Textures

A texture is an image of a surface — paper grain, wood, stone — laid over a design or wrapped onto a 3D model to give it detail. Seamless textures tile without visible edges, so one image can cover any area.

Yes. Every texture is released under CC0, so you can use it in games, renders, print and client work without attribution or sign-up.

A plain texture is one colour image. A PBR texture adds maps for surface detail and shine — normal, roughness and, for metals, metalness — so it reacts to light correctly in a 3D renderer.

For graphic design — posters, backgrounds, overlays — the JPG is all you need. For 3D in Blender, Unreal or Unity, download the PBR maps.

Yes, every texture is seamless. Open any texture page and switch on “Show seams” to see the tile edges line up.

Download a paper texture as JPG, place it on top of your image, set the layer's blend mode to Multiply (Screen for dark images) and lower the opacity to 30–50%.

Some are generated by Meshy AI; the rest are scanned and procedural materials from ambientCG, a public-domain library, that Meshy prepared as seamless downloads. Every texture page says how it was made, and the ambientCG ones name their source asset.

Describe the surface to Meshy's AI texture generator and it paints it straight onto your 3D model.
