Put the two Intuit logos side by side and the first thing you notice is how much stayed the same. Same name.

Jason Siegel shared thisRex Panels & Profiles just dropped the gradient, the glow, and the ampersand. What’s left is sharper than what came before. The old logo used shading and a glowing X to look dimensional. The new one is flat black type on high-visibility lime, set in a squared, industrial typeface that looks like it could be routed out of the product itself. For a company that makes precise building components, that matters. A flat logo looks like it has nothing to hide. In my latest article, I break down what the redesign gets right: → Simplicity as a signal of precision → A horizontal lockup that scales from website header to pallet label → A color choice that stands out in a sea of navy and steel gray The best logo changes are subtractions. Jason Siegel shared thisAUSA 2026 was 742 brands competing to look different. Most failed. We photographed 267 booths, mapped all 742 exhibitors, and analyzed the colors, headlines, messaging and design choices across the floor. The result? A lot of sameness. Blue everywhere. “Mission” in 25 of 117 headlines. Familiar claims. Familiar language. Familiar positioning. But a few brands broke through: “Welcome to the Unfair Fight.” “The Swarm Stops Here.” “Readiness Delivered.” That’s the difference between showing up and standing out. We turned the entire AUSA floor into an interactive brand map so you can see exactly where your brand fits — and who you’re competing with for attention. 👉 bluetext.com/ausa If your brand could disappear into the AUSA floor, it probably needs work.I Photographed 267 Booths at AUSA. Jason Siegel shared this🔗 Explore the interactive brand map of AUSA 2026 floor: bluetext.com/ausa The Association of the United States Army - AUSA Annual Meeting floor, all of it, is now in one interactive dashboard. My team at Bluetext photographed 267 booths at #AUSA2026, tagged every color, headline and design choice, and matched them to all 742 exhibitors across Hall ABC, Hall DE and the outdoor exhibits. Here’s what you can do at bluetext.com/ausa: + Pick a color and see every booth and logo that uses it + Search any brand or message word, like “autonomy,” “counter-UAS” or “readiness” + Explore the AUSA floor plan, colored by each exhibitor’s logo + Browse booth photos by mood, headline and design + Look up any exhibitor and see how they position themselves A few booths that stopped us: Hanwha Aerospace with “Welcome to the Unfair Fight,” L3Harris Technologies with “The Swarm Stops Here,” and Kratos Defense and Security Solutions with “Readiness Delivered.” The rest of the floor? Very blue, and “mission” showed up in 25 of 117 headlines. The brands that stand out at AUSA are the same ones that stand out in a deal. We’ve seen it across 101 client exits within 24 months of launch and partnerships with more than 30 PE firms. If you exhibited at AUSA this year, search your company and see who you were standing next to: 👉 bluetext.com/ausa #AUSA #AUSA2026 #AUSAannual #USArmy #ArmyModernization #DefenseTech #DefenseIndustry #GovCon #CounterUAS #Autonomy #Branding #BrandStrategy

Jason Siegel shared thisHomer Simpson would have one word for this: D’oh! Google users who see an AI Overview click a regular search result on only 8% of visits, according to Pew. Without one, it’s 15%. That’s nearly half of all clicks gone. If your content team still reports mostly on traffic, you’re measuring a shrinking number. What’s actually earning visibility in AI search right now: → Topic clusters built around real buyer questions. The average ChatGPT prompt is about 23 words long. → Refreshed content. In Seer’s data, 75% of AI-cited pages had been updated within the past year. → Third-party mentions. AirOps found 85% of brand mentions in AI answers came from sources the brand didn’t own. → Original data. Adding statistics and quotes boosted AI visibility by up to 40% in the GEO research. The goal used to be ranking. Now it’s being the source AI chooses to quote. What’s your team tracking beyond traffic? #AEO #ContentMarketing #AISearch #B2BMarketing #SEO BluetextThe Scoreboard for Content Marketing Just Changed. Jason Siegel shared thisWhen you grow by acquisition, your brand has to do the heavy lifting of turning many companies into one. That was the job for Cobalt Service Partners, one of the fastest-growing names in commercial security. Jason Siegel reacted on thisJason Siegel reacted on thisWe achieve the best results when we work together. For America, that means collaboration between government decision-makers, founders working to solve the highest impact problems, private capital, tech OEMs, SI's, primes, and neoprimes. As I said at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP’s Aerospace, Defense and Government Services M&A Conference, that applies to every level of cooperation. Government sees the goal and sets the guidelines for what we should achieve, while the rest of our community can work creatively to make it a reality. At the conference, I discussed the role we play at Washington Harbour Partners LP. We focus on backing founders and business owners with the capabilities our country needs and helping them scale to deliver. That’s how we meet the moment and also the needs of the next 30 years. Thank you to the Pillsbury team for bringing us together for this insightful morning.

Jason Siegel liked thisJason Siegel liked thisIt was an honor to attend the National Cryptologic Foundation’s 30th Anniversary Gala, Decoding 30, celebrating three decades of contributions to cryptologic history, cybersecurity education, and national security. The evening was a meaningful opportunity to recognize the people whose dedication, innovation, and service have helped protect our nation and its allies. It was especially fitting to honor the legacy of Lt. Gen. Kenneth Minihan and recognize the enduring importance of the U.S.–UK cryptologic partnership, now marking its 80th anniversary. As the national security landscape continues to evolve, the importance of secure, resilient communications and the people who make them possible has never been greater. I’m proud that SES Space & Defense supported this milestone celebration as a sponsor. Congratulations to the National Cryptologic Foundation on 30 years of service and impact, and thank you to everyone who made the evening memorable. #NationalSecurity #Cryptology #Cybersecurity #SESSpaceAndDefense

Jason Siegel liked thisJason Siegel liked thisThe best networking tool ever invented? A fork. For about 10 years, I've hosted dinners under The Digital Fork. The format barely changes: 18 seats max. One table. Good food. Phones down. What has changed is how rare that feels. We have more ways to reach each other than ever. And fewer moments where we actually sit together. A DM isn't a conversation. A Zoom isn't a meal. A connection request isn't a relationship. The best things to come out of these dinners didn't start with a pitch. They started with someone passing the bread and asking a real question. I grew up up in tech. I believe in it. But the more digital our work gets, the more a shared table matters.

Jason Siegel liked thisJason Siegel liked thisI'm proud to share that Eliza Salerno has been promoted to President & Chief Operating Officer of Medical Guardian! When you're building a company, one of the most rewarding things is finding leaders along the way who believe in its mission, understand its impact, and care as deeply about its success as you do. Eliza is one of those people. Over the past decade, her impact on Medical Guardian has been tremendous. She's become someone I trust deeply, rely on daily, and genuinely enjoy working alongside. She brings exceptional judgment, strong leadership, and an ownership mentality to everything she does. She cares about our people, challenges my thinking, and has an incredible ability to turn ambitious ideas into real results. Medical Guardian wouldn't be the company it is today without Eliza's leadership and contributions. As we enter our next chapter, I know she'll play an even greater role in shaping our future, and I'm grateful to have her alongside me helping lead the way. Congratulations Eliza, so well deserved!

Jason Siegel liked thisJason Siegel liked thisDespite the rain last Thursday, the Bay Area cyber community showed up! 💫 At SHACK15, I had the privilege of moderating three of the industry’s stars for a provocative conversation about a new predicament we find ourselves in: we’re no longer just defending against insider threats. We’re building them, giving AI agents unprecedented access, autonomy, and trust. What could possibly go wrong? The inspiration for the evening came from NightDragon advisor Camille Stewart Gloster, Founder and CEO of CAS Strategies, and her timely, best-selling book, The Insider You Built, which challenges us to rethink trust, risk, and accountability in an increasingly autonomous world. Joining Camille for the discussion were Jason Clinton (J C.), Deputy CISO at Anthropic, and Snehal Antani, CEO and Co-Founder of NightDragon portfolio company Horizon3.ai. Thank you to all three for an insightful conversation that continued well into dinner. And Camille, congratulations on the success of your book! A special thank you to World Wide Technology and Horizon3.ai for their partnership and support. It was also great to see so many of our advisors and friends come together for the evening, including Ramy Houssaini, Elwin Wong, Gary Hayslip, Vitaliy Panych, Kate Bell, Gary Gauba, Karen Chiang, Brandon H. Le Tran, Chris Konrad, Steph Tatti, and Evan Stewart. And of course, a huge thank you to Audrey Laginess and Sarah Kuranda Vallone for making the magic happen! 🌟 Sonja Petri, David Affonso, Amara Okoli, Jassum Gloster, Newton Campbell Jr., Ph.D., Andres Botero, Howie Koh, Razmik Abnous, Ellie Gersten, Alexa Fedyukova, SHADAAB KANWAL,, Robert Parker, Dave DeWalt, Morgan Kyauk, Ken Gonzalez, Shawn Mucklai, Tony Chow, JJ Young, Audrey Moulton #Cybersecurity #AgenticAI #AutonomousEra
