Theresa -Tee- Shields reacted on thisAI may become one of the largest drivers of new energy infrastructure in the coming decade. As artificial intelligence systems expand, the scale of electricity required to power large data centers is increasing rapidly. Some facilities now require the equivalent power demand of small cities. This raises important questions for energy, infrastructure, and environmental leaders: • How will power systems scale to support AI growth? • What role will renewables, storage, and grid modernization play? • Do we have the engineering and infrastructure talent needed to build what comes next? Technology innovation is accelerating. But infrastructure capacity — and the workforce that builds it — will ultimately determine how quickly these systems can grow. #Infrastructure#EnergyTransition#AIInfrastructure#FutureOfEnergy 0

Theresa -Tee- Shields reposted thisTheresa -Tee- Shields reposted thisKeeping solar technicians safe and skilled is more than a requirement. It is a key operational focus for a growing global industry. At the GWO Safety & Training Forum 2025 in Madrid we recently shared insights on modular, hands-on training standards through Dennis Thorlund Elsberg who leads the new GWO Global Solar Committee. With these standards, a technician trained in Chile can now operate to the same safety and competence level as one in Australia while country-specific modules ensure local regulations are met. By embedding these standards into recruitment, onboarding and career development we are helping build a safer, more adaptable and future ready workforce to power a sustainable energy future. Theresa -Tee- Shields reacted on thisInclusivity isn’t just a value — it’s a growth strategy. Put bluntly, the clean energy workforce does not look like America. Despite countless studies and DEI pledges, progress has been frustratingly slow — especially in leadership. The idea for INCLUCE came to me in a braiding salon, reading about how women and racially diverse professionals remain underrepresented in clean energy — the fastest-growing jobs sector in the U.S. I realized there was a gap between intentions and real solutions. That gap is what inspired me to build INCLUCE. INCLUCE is more than a job board. It’s a platform designed to: ✅ Connect employers with women and racially diverse professionals ✅ Showcase inclusive employers and leadership spotlights ✅ Equip job seekers with visibility, resources, and community Because when inclusivity thrives, innovation follows. 👉 Learn more: incluce.com #INCLUCE #InclusiveHiring #CleanEnergyJobs #Leadership #Sustainability

Clean energy jobs, which range from creating electric cars to making buildings more energy efficient, are transforming the nation's economy, but they are predominantly filled by white men, with Latino workers mostly stuck in entry-level positions and women and Black workers underrepresented in the industry overall, according to the report by a coalition of organizations including the Alliance to Save Energy and the American Association of Blacks in Energy.
"Congress and state lawmakers need to do more to make sure people of color aren't left behind in what is shaping up as the biggest economic transition in recent history,'' says Bob Keefe, executive director of E2, supports initiatives benefiting the environment and economy, and one of the report's authors. "So far it’s been white workers, particularly white men, who've benefited from this tremendous opportunity."
In clean energy fields where they are most represented, women have fewer than 30% of the jobs, though they fill almost half of jobs across industries nationwide, the report says.
Meanwhile, Black workers have the biggest gap of any racial group between their representation in clean energy jobs and their numbers in the broader U.S. workforce, the report says. They make up roughly 8% of clean energy employees, though they are about 13% of U.S. workers overall.
Latino employees make up almost 17% of clean energy workers, just slightly below the 18% of jobs they hold in the broader U.S. workforce. But they tend to be concentrated in entry-level construction positions, "jobs that are some of the first to get cut when things get bad,'' Keefe says.

Yesterday I attended the NJEPC event in NJ. I had a few major take aways from all the panels on what the future of Power looks like for our state. Major investments need to be made into how we make our Grid stronger and more reliable. There were a ton of brilliant speakers, great ideas and people who really care about how the Energy industry effects the residents of NJ. It was refreshing to learn of the different safe options of reliable power that can be provided to the residents of NJ if done right! I look forward to further connecting with all the major players in the space to help provide any Engineering and Construction work that will need to take place in order for improvements to be made. Actalent has already partnerd with some of the countries Top Data Center projects to provide top tier engineering and construction resources. I am excited to make an impact locally in this space. Monday Motivation for Power-Delivery & Renewable Engineers Last week’s industry news had a pretty clear theme: the grid is growing faster than the talent pipeline. New transmission projects getting greenlit… utilities restarting delayed upgrades… EPCs announcing fresh hiring plans for 2026… and now data-center load forecasts pushing demand even higher. If you’re an engineer in this space, this is one of those rare moments where the industry needs you more than ever. Here’s the motivation for your Monday: You don’t have to be “looking.” You just need to know your value. A lot of mid-career engineers tell me the same thing: “I’m not on the job market… but I do want to understand what my options look like and whether I’m being paid competitively.” That’s exactly where conversations with GTR help. No pressure. No expectations. Just real market insight from the work we’re doing every day with utilities, EPCs, and developers across the country. If you’re curious about: • What companies are planning for 2026 growth • Which teams are quietly building • Where compensation is trending (and why 2025 will look different) • What skills will command the strongest premium • Whether your career path is aligned with where the grid is headed …I’m glad to share what we’re seeing. You don’t have to apply. You don’t have to commit. A simple “GO” is enough to start the conversation. Let’s make this a strong week. Drop a quick “GO” or message me privately, and I’ll send you a tailored snapshot based on your background. #PowerDelivery #RenewableEnergy #Transmission #Substation #EngineeringCareers #MondayMotivation #GridGrowth

Nearly one-quarter of the U.S. energy workforce will retire or transition by 2030 (DOE). For project teams, that means a shrinking pool of experienced professionals at the exact moment demand is spiking. Too often, projects invest months in design and procurement, only to scramble for talent once execution begins. The result is gaps that stall progress before the first shovel hits the ground. Companies that treat staffing as strategically as procurement, building their bench early and aligning expertise to milestones, will be the ones that deliver on time and lead the energy transition. #EnergyTransition #Utilities #PowerGeneration #ProjectControls #ConstructionStaffing #EnergyWorkforce #FootBridge #InfrastructureDevelopment

The conversation around PJM is shifting fast; and solar + storage are no longer just part of the energy transition narrative, they’re becoming critical infrastructure for grid stability. Governors across PJM states are pushing to accelerate renewable and battery storage deployment to help ease pressure on the grid as electricity demand surges. Between data centers, electrification, and population growth, the system is being stretched, and the fastest way to add new, flexible capacity is through solar paired with storage. We’re now moving from: • “Decarbonization-first policy” To: • “Affordability + reliability-first policy” And that shift matters. Solar can be deployed quickly. Storage helps manage peak demand and smooth volatility. Together, they provide the fastest, most practical way to add supply, stabilize pricing, and support grid resilience. #gridresilience #energymarkets #powertrading https://lnkd.in/gYZeKh7v

Big step forward for energy storage in Illinois with the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act now passed. The bill sets a 3 GW storage target by 2030, directing utilities to procure grid-scale storage to improve reliability and support renewable integration. This is a strong policy signal that storage is being recognised as essential grid infrastructure, not just a supporting technology. With growing load from data centres and electrification, having a dedicated storage target gives the state a clearer pathway to balance generation and demand. For the broader renewables sector, it’s an encouraging sign. Clear, long-term storage goals like this provide confidence for developers, investors, and technical teams to plan and deliver at scale. Another positive step for the U.S. clean energy transition, turning ambition into execution. https://lnkd.in/eFtvPMjG

As the U.S. energy landscape continues to evolve, BESS is stepping up to meet the growing demand for flexibility, reliability, and decarbonization. We're seeing BESS deployed not just to store excess solar and wind energy, but also to provide peak shaving, frequency regulation, and backup power. In many ways, it's becoming the backbone of a more responsive, modern grid, making these systems no longer a “nice-to-have” but critical infrastructure. It’s been fascinating to see how quickly the skill sets around BESS have evolved and how much collaboration is happening across utilities, developers, and OEMs to keep pace. What does this mean for the talent market? 📈 Massive investment = massive opportunity. Engineers, project managers, and technical specialists with BESS experience are in high demand. 🌎 Companies are competing for the people who can design, build, and optimize the storage systems that power the clean energy transition. I'm curious to hear from others working in or alongside this space: how do you scale teams fast enough in this high demand space? #BESS #EnergyStorage #CleanEnergy #GridModernization #EngineeringJobs #RenewableEnergy #PoweringTheFuture #EnergyTransition #Hiring

Happy Monday, everyone! 👋 What’s driving demand in the Power EPC / T&D space right now? A few powerful trends are reshaping the landscape — and creating fresh momentum on the recruiting front. 🔌 1. The “CapEx Super-Cycle” is here U.S. electric utilities are projected to invest $1.4 trillion from 2025–2030 on grid modernization, transmission upgrades, and interconnection expansion. That means more EPC deals, more grid-scale projects, and greater demand for senior engineers who can lead complex technical execution. ⚡ 2. Advanced transmission tech is breaking out Grid-enhancing technologies — dynamic line ratings, advanced conductors, and power flow control devices — are now deployable at scale. Firms that already understand these systems will gain an edge in competitive bids. 🏗️ 3. Big wins are making headlines AEP just secured a $1.6B DOE loan guarantee to upgrade 5,000 miles of transmission lines across five states — driven by surging AI and data center demand. Deals like this act as catalysts — unlocking new project pipelines and proving that power infrastructure is top of mind. 🚀 What this means for recruiting in Power EPC / T&D The senior talent you’ve been chasing transmission design leads, interconnection specialists, grid automation engineers — is about to become even more in demand. We’re seeing a shift in skill demand: It’s no longer enough to design poles and conductors — today’s engineers must also understand software, controls, and grid innovation. Project opportunities are evolving, too — blending EPC delivery with digital and automation layers. If you’re evaluating or recruiting for mid-to-senior level Grid, Transmission, Substation, or EPC roles this quarter or looking ahead to early 2026 — let’s talk. Reach out via DM or email me at Diabe.Diaman@avaenergy.com — I’d love to compare notes or help identify gaps in your team.
