Andrew Limouris posted thisI’ve been thinking more about how quickly things are changing, especially in AI, and how easy it is to confuse activity with real progress. There are moments where teams can point to adoption, tools, or quick wins, and those things matter. They’re part of learning and evolving. But the teams that seem to be getting the most out of this shift don’t get too comfortable with early success. Satya Nadella said it well: “AI is going to be the key to how we build products, how we run businesses, and how people work.” That perspective resonates because it frames AI as something that enhances how work gets done, not something that replaces it. The teams that stand out aren’t just using AI to move faster. They’re using it to think differently. They’re asking better questions, reworking processes, and staying open to new ways of creating value. Within those teams, there are always people quietly pushing things forward. They’re not waiting for perfect clarity or assuming today’s advantage will last. They stay curious and keep building. I’m still learning this in real time, but it feels like the opportunity with AI isn’t about mastering it once. Andrew Limouris posted thisOne thing I’ve come to appreciate over time is the difference between hitting goals and helping raise the standard for the people around you. Great teams do a good job of recognizing wins, and they should. Those moments reflect the consistency, discipline, and effort it takes to perform at a high level. But I’ve noticed the teams that continue to grow don’t stay there for long. Nick Saban has a line that’s stuck with me: “The process is really what you have to do day in and day out.” The best teams seem to live that out. They’re quick to shift from “What did we accomplish?” to “What are we going after next?” not because they overlook wins, but because they respect how quickly standards can slip if you stop pushing forward. Within those teams, there are always people who lead quietly from the front. They’re not focused on protecting what’s already been built. They’re thinking about what doesn’t exist yet. Opening doors others might pass by. Creating opportunities instead of waiting for them. I’m still learning this myself, but it feels like sustaining success isn’t about holding on to what you’ve done. Through this, I had the opportunity to present Dominique McKoy with the Honorary Champion for College Completion Award in honor of the great work he does with the The To&Through Project at The University of Chicago. His work has opened doors for more students in Chicago to not only get into college but to graduate and thrive. So Bottom Line did a fantastic job recognizing his great work and honoring him with this award! Thank you Michael Dober & the whole Bottom Line Staff for letting this first generation Latina who once questioned, “Is college even meant for someone like me?” - Get in. Graduate. Go Far.

Samaritan gave my sons and I a safe place to share our pain and grief after my husband died. It was a dark season of our lives and they added light we needed.
