An Augmented Reality Jewelry iPad App for a US Diamond House. 59% Hike in Customer Engagement.
/ The engagement
The Whole Catalog in Store, Without the Whole Inventory.
An AR-based enterprise iPad app for jewelry distributors, with real-time catalog access, multiple product views, diamond comparison, ring text engraving, virtual trial, and customer information storage for follow-up.
/ About the client
The client is a living legend in the USA's diamond manufacturing and business industry, trusted for 18 years for super ideal cut hearts-and-arrows diamonds across rings, bracelets, earrings, bands, and necklaces, both in-store and online.
Distributors cannot each hold every design, so Brainvire built an AR-based enterprise iPad app that gives real-time access to the product catalog, multiple views, diamond comparison, text engraving, and customer information storage for promotion.
/ The approach
Design, architecture, and features, shipped as one program.
Live product detail
Tapping a jewelry piece pulls its full details from the backend in real time, and an out-of-stock item reflects that at once to avoid chaos.
Interactions stored
Customer interactions and contact details are stored so the client can target buyers again with promotional offers, no digging required.
Try before wearing
A virtual-trial module lets customers try different ornaments without wearing them, helping them reach a purchase decision.
Rich criteria and compare
Extensive search spans category, price, size, and metal type, and lets customers compare pieces side by side.
/ What stood in the way
Four problems, solved without a maintenance window.

Syncing the backend for detail
Each tap had to show full jewelry detail, and out-of-stock had to reflect instantly. We synced the app with the backend so nothing shows in error.
Storing interactions for CRM
To re-target buyers with offers, interactions had to be stored. We captured customer preferences and contact details for easy follow-up.
A module to aid purchase decisions
The client wanted help closing a sale. We built a virtual-trial module so customers try ornaments without wearing them before deciding.
Complex search criteria
Search had to cover category, price, size, and metal type, with comparison. We built extensive search that lets customers weigh pieces side by side.
