UX Certification takes 30+ hours of training in addition to any extra time spent on exams. UX Certification can be done all at once, by attending a full live online training week, or by taking multiple courses over time.
UX Master Certification takes 100+ hours in addition to exam prep and completion. On average, people complete this achievement over 2+ years.
No, there is no deadline for completing UX or UX Master Certification. Exams, however, do have a deadline and must be completed within 35 days of attending the associated course.

Specialties are an achievement that demonstrates your expertise in a particular UX subject. We currently have 4 Specialty areas: Artificial Intelligence, Interaction Design, Research, and Management. When you pass 5 courses that share a specialty, proof of your achievement appears on your UX certificate.
No! Our courses are designed to give you a solid, lasting UX foundation and education. Once you achieve your UX Certification, it does not expire. We reissue an updated certification when you take additional courses and pass the exams.
Yes, the 5 courses taken to complete the UX Certification count towards the 15 total courses needed for the UX Master Certification. This means if you've achieved your UX Certification, you only need to attend 10 more courses to accomplish your UX Master Certification.

No, but you will receive a digital certificate to commemorate your UX Certification that is signed by the CEO of NN/G. It lists the courses you attended, the date you earned the UX Certification, and any earned specialties. Each digital certificate lists your certification ID, which can be used to verify your status using our list of UX Certified practitioners.
