Senior Experience Specialist

Sarah Thompson is a Senior Experience Specialist at Nielsen Norman Group. As a behavioral scientist and experience strategist, she focuses on how people make decisions and how products, services, and messages can be designed to help people make better ones.

Before joining NN/g, Sarah served as Director of Behavioral Science at Live Neuron Labs, where she consulted with Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations to apply behavioral science to real-world problems—helping people access preventive care, manage finances, and improve their wellbeing through design.

She holds a Master’s degree in Cognitive Semiotics, focused on how people interpret and assign meaning, and how language influences thought, emotion, and behavior.

Sarah is based in Austin, Texas.
