biomedical
High School Juniors
 
PLTW Biomedical students are taking on real-world challenges, and they’re doing it before graduating from high school. Working with the same tools used by professionals in labs and hospitals, as a laboratories student, you will engage in compelling, hands-on activities and collaborate on teams to find solutions to problems. PLTW Biomedical empowers you to build knowledge and skills in biomedical studies, make presentations, and develop transportable skills like problem-solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, and collaboration.
 
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is the curriculum used to teach this program.

Carpentry
Adults & High School Juniors and Seniors
 
Skilled carpenters are needed to meet the ongoing demand for new housing, office, and retail space. You’ll estimate and order building materials, prepare, assemble, and install materials using hand and power tools, and construct a custom-project home. Train as a cabinetmaker or residential carpenter, and earn an OSHA 10 Card and a General Induction Card for on-site work. Work as a cabinetmaker, frame carpenter, or residential carpenter.

CNC Machining
Adults & High School Juniors and Seniors
 
Machinists use lathes, milling machines, and machining centers to produce metal parts that meet precise specifications. You will learn Computerized Numerical Controls to become a CNC operator or machinist, and prepare for the NIMS Certified Machine Technician exam.

ElectricalTrades
Adults & High School Juniors and Seniors
 
Electrical Trades and journeymen work for licensed electrical contractors. You will design, build, and troubleshoot motor control systems. Learn residential, commercial, and industrial construction wiring methods. Successful completion of the curriculum prepares you for state electrical examinations.

High School Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors
 
MNTC Engineering is a college preparatory program for those interested in an engineering career. Students apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems. Engineers design products, machinery, factories, systems, efficiency, and manufacturing processes that ensure the quality of the products they help design. This knowledge is used to design, plan, and supervise the construction of buildings, highways, and transit systems. Students can complete five engineering courses in the two year program, and possibly up to seven in the four-year, freshman entry program available at Norman, Norman North, Moore, Westmoore, and Southmoore High Schools.

HVACTech
Adults & High School Juniors and Seniors
 
Heat and air technicians who have training from an accredited technical school have excellent job prospects. Learn residential and light-commercial systems, installations, maintenance, and repair. Train to become an HVAC/R Technician, obtain EPA 608 certification, I.C.E. certification, an Oklahoma State Apprentice license, and OSHA 10 General Safety certification, and work anywhere in the United States.

Male Student Welding
Adults & High School Juniors and Seniors
 
Welders can advance to jobs like welding technician, supervisor, inspector, or instructor. Some experienced welders open their own shops. Train in all phases of welding and study properties of metals and principles of fusion. Learn techniques for gas and arc welding, pipe welding and cutting, blueprint reading, and plasma arc cutting.
