Tim O'Brien shared thisProud for Scopely to be No. 1 again, and there's plenty more to build. What makes this recognition especially meaningful is the range of work behind it. Growing games that players have loved for years. Building new hits. Partnering with ambitious creative teams and helping them bring their vision to more players around the world. The opportunities keep getting bigger, and our teams and partners keep raising the bar. Tim O'Brien shared thisTwo in a row. Seeing Scopely once again land on Fast Company’s Best Workplaces for Innovators list is especially meaningful to me because innovation isn’t reserved for one part of our business. Across the company, it shows up in how we approach deals, work with partners and look for better ways to serve players, and I see that firsthand across our games and studios. Congrats to our team around the world, and onto the next one. Let’s go!!Tim O'Brien shared this🏆 🏆 For the second consecutive year, Scopely has been named one of 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆’𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀. We're proud to stand alongside global innovators like Anthropic, Google and Adobe as one of only two game makers recognized in 2026. (Hey, Gamefam!) Congratulations to our Scopeleans and fellow honorees around the globe who continue pushing innovation forward across our industry, and thank you to Fast Company for the recognition. 🙌 Read more » https://lnkd.in/gkCvRdZP #FCBestWorkplaces

Tim O'Brien shared thisHard to believe it’s already been a year since Scopely acquired the Niantic games business. I’ve spent some time reflecting on all the work that has happened since — both privately and on stage at #iicon alongside Ed Wu and Hemal Thaker — and one thing keeps standing out, as this feature shows: Beyond the headlines, and the numbers, it’s the people who make it all work. Let’s keep the momentum and milestones rolling.Tim O'Brien shared this🎥 » 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹 | 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘅 𝗡𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 One year after we welcomed the #Niantic games team, a few faces behind the deal reflected on our experiences, perspectives and momentum that followed. From preserving creative autonomy to building experiences that connect millions of players around the world, our teams are aligned on a shared mission to continue inspiring people to explore the world together.

Tim O'Brien shared thisAs consolidation reshapes our industry, the winners will be those who think deeply on cultural fit and alignment. We didn’t want to change what made the Niantic games business special — we wanted to fuel it, accelerate it and bring that community-driven vision to even more players worldwide. Now, almost a year post-acquisition, I chatted with President, Games Ed Wu and Goldman Sachs Hemal Thaker about the wins, insights and surprises along the way. Onto the next milestone. Let’s go!!Tim O'Brien shared thisOne year after our acquisition of the Niantic games business, Scopely leaders took the stage at iicon to share insights, lessons and the playbook rooted in culture that has led to post-acquisition success. Tim O'Brien shared thisIt’s rare to see a new game become a top-grossing title within months of launch, but that’s exactly what “Pixel Flow!” has done. Today, we’re excited to share that Scopely has agreed to acquire a majority stake in the mobile game “Pixel Flow!” and the Istanbul-based game studio behind it. Founders Kübra Gündoğan and Emre Çelik, and their team, have built an experience with clear momentum as seen by the game’s millions of daily players and growing, and we look forward to welcoming the team into the Scopely ecosystem to further support their roadmap. We’re always exploring opportunities to bring world-class teams and games into our operating system, and this investment signals our ongoing commitment to being a leading partner in the space. Great to partner with Affan Butt and the Aream & Co. team on this one. Let’s GO!! Tim O'Brien liked thisICYMI: Here's a great chat with Scopely co-CEO Javier Ferreira and Christopher Dring on THE GAME BUSINESS SHOW. 🎮 📱 Chris kicked off by sharing: "Scopely is a rarity." 👏 Some spotlight quotes from Javier: ✨ What I enjoy most is operating 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, bc when we start hitting the wall of things we don't know how to do, that's how we get better. ✨ We're trying to build people's favorite things, and live up to player expectations each day. You have to make a player feel something very special, and exceptional games that do that, can achieve levels of success that are unrivaled. ✨ In addition to building games, we do M&A every day at Scopely. We've looked at 100s and 100s of teams, bc we believe bringing in new people and skills accelerates what we're doing and enhances the company's DNA, building a stronger, more resilient, and strategically powerful company. ✨ We're an ever-evolving organization; nothing's ever finished. We're always pursuing greater levels of accuracy. When we normalize being wrong, we can focus on the real work: learning and growing. ✨ Looking ahead, we have an opportunity to be truly meaningful and do even more ambitious things. I hope we continue to be a company focused on people 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 and a place where people thrive. Ludon Lee
Ludon Lee, a veteran of the digital entertainment field, is launching High Score, a specialized arcade in San Francisco that focuses on a "Play-2-Earn" model. Unlike traditional venues, this establishment allows patrons to engage in skill-based competitions and tournaments to win actual currency. The project aims to help revitalize the downtown district by attracting both residents and tourists to a competitive gaming environment. To fund this venture, the company is utilizing equity crowdfunding, offering various tiers of investment to both accredited and non-accredited individuals. Supporters can gain passive income returns or exclusive gaming perks as the business taps into a rapidly expanding global market. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to merge professional gaming talent with a unique physical destination for social entertainment. https://lnkd.in/gJjmFHz2

What’s one way to know your prediction hits the mark? When @faultline’s @ Tommy Flanagan writes “we wholeheartedly agree.” In his latest issue, Tommy ponders an important question about the growth of short-form content: will its adoption go behind tier-1 broadcasters to niches streamers? I’d argue AI-driven shorts are a necessity for niche and tier-1s alike who want to compete (and win) against the creator economy. The reality is, viewers need more reasons to stay engaged within broadcasters’ ecosystems. AI-driven shorts give them the velocity and intelligence needed to break viewers’ habits of scrolling through their TikTok feed, and instead staying within their O&O platforms. Simply put, the conversation has moved beyond how to participate in the creator economy to where that economy lives. In 2026, the streaming wars will pivot from a battle over library depth to a fight for the discovery funnel. What do you think?
