Onwards and upwards 🚀.Laurens Eckelboom shared thisBig day for the Vend team, we just announced our $17.5M Series A led by Blue Heron Capital, with participation from Nuveen, Communitas Capital, and a great group of returning investors. When we started Vend, we saw an industry stuck in old ways: inefficient operating companies, outdated technology, and clunky management processes that made life harder for owners and drivers. We knew there had to be a better way. Fast forward two years we’ve reimagined parking management and technology from the ground up. We’ve grown from 3 to 15 cities, partnered with some of the largest names in commercial real estate, and introduced the AI-powered building infrastructure that increases NOI for owners and offers a seamless experience for visitors. This round gives us fuel to accelerate: expanding into new markets, growing our team, and continuing to push the boundaries of how we interact with the built world. Het is inderdaad een enorme mijlpaal die passend is bij iemand van zo’n statuur Bas Schoonderwoerd. Ik ben blij dat Pim Vlot, Jeroen Vos maar ook Xander Wassink en Menno Tusschenbroek het daar volledig mee eens zijn hoor.

Vandaag speel ik in het shirt van Marokko. 🇲🇦🏑 Waar ik opgroeide was voetbal dé sport. Toen ik op mijn eerste dag op de topsportschool vertelde dat ik hockeyde, werd ik meteen weggezet. Hockey hoorde niet bij jongens zoals ik, vonden ze. Alles begon met mijn moeder. Als kind riep ik steeds dat ik alles al kon. Haar antwoord: dan zoeken we iets wat je nog níet kunt. Dat werd hockey, bij HC Delfshaven. Ik ben er zelfs een tijd mee gestopt. Maar ik miste het te veel en pakte mijn stick weer op. Beste beslissing die ik ooit nam. Vandaag deelt Hockey.nl mijn verhaal. Ik ben trots dat ik Marokko mag vertegenwoordigen en dankbaar voor iedereen die in me bleef geloven, mama in het bijzonder. ❤️ Aan iedereen die iets doet wat 'niet past' bij zijn omgeving: laat je niet uitlachen, blijf gaan. Laurens Eckelboom reacted on thisLaurens Eckelboom reacted on thisWierd Duk: “Dit zou hét nieuws van de dag moeten zijn: de mogelijk nieuwe burgemeester van Berlijn, Elif Eralp van Die Linke, wordt bedreigd door clanleiders uit het islamistische, antisemitische pro-Hamas milieu, waarmee haar extreemlinkse partij in zee is gegaan en zij probeert publicatie hierover in Der Spiegel te voorkomen: "Mijn man en ik zijn bang voor deze mensen." Dit is enorm brisant: Hamasaanhangers die een vooraanstaande Duitse politica intimideren en mogelijk corrumperen. Wat sommige analisten al vaker hebben gemeld (en wat ook in mijn podcast en tv-optredens regelmatig aan de orde komt): het 'islamo-gauchisme' is een groeiende, antiwesterse, antikapitalistische, antijoodse, antiblanke, in essentie antidemocratische politieke beweging, die zich zowel binnen de parlementaire politiek - zie Die Linke in Berlijn, zie LFI in Frankrijk, zie ook tendensen in sommige Nederlandse partijen - manifesteert, als buitenparlementair: zie de plunderingen in Frankrijk en de rellen in andere Europese steden. De opkomst van deze alliantie zou bij iedere democraat de haren ten berge moeten doen rijzen. Maar in Nederland wordt zelfs het bestaan hiervan domweg ontkend of niet begrepen. Laurens Eckelboom liked thisBeste ING Nederland en Rabobank een persoonlijke oproep namens mijn bejaarde ouders. We maken al bijna ons hele leven gebruik van jullie dienstverlening. We zijn jarenlang met jullie producten en alle veranderingen meegegroeid. Maar inmiddels zijn we de 70 gepasseerd en lukt het ons eenvoudigweg niet meer om alles bij te houden. We zien door de bomen het bos niet meer. Zouden jullie, in deze fase van ons leven en onze jarenlange samenwerking, nog één keer met ons mee terug willen groeien? Naar een eenvoudige 65+ bankapp. Met grote letters, duidelijke knoppen en alleen de bankzaken die we echt nog nodig hebben? Zodat we ook nu zelfstandig onze bankzaken kunnen blijven regelen. Bijgaand een voorbeeldje van hoe wij het graag zouden zien :-)

Hoe lang moet een werkgever het salaris doorbetalen van een zieke werknemer voordat de collectiviteit het overneemt? Nederland: 104 weken. Spanje: 12 dagen. Voor het hele staatje, zie bijgaand. 😳 In september heeft de minister scenario's voorgelegd aan de Tweede Kamer om voor werkgevers de loondoorbetaling tijdens ziekte te verkorten. Kom maar door, zou ik zeggen.

De bestuurlijke verbindingen lopen verder: naar verwijzingsplatforms, zorgorganisaties, lobbyclubs en politiek. Ik heb de geldstromen en functies naast elkaar gezet. Met namen en openbare bronnen. Lees het artikel en deel het met uw netwerk. Wie iedere maand de rekening betaalt, mag weten hoe het achter de schermen is georganiseerd. Een repost wordt zeer gewaardeerd. Laurens Eckelboom liked thisWhen Michael Miele & Pritesh Chandarana reached out to plan their 3rd Vend Park offsite with us, I knew we’d lock down “the usual” (it’s starting to feel like a habit, haha): a karaoke session, a sunset catamaran to close out the week, and a lot of hot sauce... but we wanted to do something special! So we packed a grill and music and took the whole team to a beach picnic so full of good vibes I had to film it.
