Look at the video and imagine Europe a few years from now, as radical Islam becomes the majority in governing institutions in more EU countries. #standwithIsrael #geopoliticsOran Dror שיתף את זהThis was a disturbing and deeply embarrassing scene in Gaza City today during the funeral of a man killed in an Israeli airstrike for allegedly being affiliated with Hamas. Members of his clan fired thousands of rounds into the air, initially causing panic and confusion among residents who did not understand what was happening. The spectacle of armed men recklessly discharging weapons sparked widespread anger and contempt among many Gazans, who viewed it as yet another example of the destructive behavior of powerful clans in the Strip. The incident renewed calls to disarm Gaza's clans and militias and remove weapons from civilian hands to reduce crime, curb intra-Palestinian violence, strengthen the rule of law, and break patterns of behavior that fuel radicalization, intimidation, and the dominance of armed actors over civil society. Many Palestinians bitterly note the irony that these same clans and armed strongmen, so eager to display their power before fellow Palestinians, tend to disappear when confronted by the Israeli military. Time and again, tribal militias, criminal gangs, and other armed actors avoid direct confrontation with the IDF, yet readily turn their weapons on other Palestinians, whether against Palestinian Authority forces in the past or, at times, even against Hamas itself. There should be no tolerance for lawlessness. Neither "martyrs" nor their families have the right to terrorize an entire society in the name of archaic notions of honor, death glorification, or tribal privilege. Hamas and Gaza's powerful clans alike must be disarmed, for the sake of Palestinians and Israelis alike.

The car drove itself around the city while people watched it go by. It was a good joke, but it also made a real point. For most people, an empty driver's seat is still the scary part, and skeletons were a nice way to make it feel normal. Oran Dror שיתף את זהFor two years Europe told us Ham%s was a Gaza problem. This week Berlin's future mayor admitted, in writing, that she is afraid to name Ham%s sympathizers in her own city. She was never supposed to admit it to anyone. Elif Eralp's office accidentally sent Der Spiegel her internal notes on an interview. She cut a question about a pro-Palestinian activist, cited old LKA advice never to name names, and wrote that she cannot endanger her family for a magazine. She is still afraid. That's what we learned the hard way in Israel. Intimidation doesn't need to win the argument. It only needs to make silence look like prudence. In Israel we never had the option of not naming names. Europe is finding out it doesn't either. The big one: in a European capital in 2026, the fear runs from the elected official toward the activists. Not the other way around. Every police officer in Berlin just learned what their future boss is afraid of. So did the people she is afraid of. Ham%s never needed a seat in the Rotes Rathaus. It only needed the mayor to be careful. #standwithIsrael

In primary schools alone, the figure climbs to 46%. Staggering numbers showing where this is going in Austria and across Europe. This isn't really about a piece of fabric. It's about who sets the norms in a European: the state, or the community that is fast becoming its majority. #geopolitics

Oran Dror שיתף את זהToday I voted in Israel's 26th Knesset election. Arab citizens are voting today too. Many of them for parties that openly oppose the government. That is the part most of the world refuses to see. Three weeks ago, the Central Elections Committee voted to bar Ra'am and the Joint List from running. Israel's Supreme Court overturned the ban unanimously. Both parties are on today's ballot. Jews, Muslims, Christians and Druze are standing in the same lines, dropping the same slip into the same blue box. Arab judges sit on our Supreme Court. An Arab party has sat in our governing coalition. Find me another country in this region where the courts protected a minority's right to run against the ruling majority, weeks before the vote. Yet Israel is the one on trial. Accused of discrimination by people who have never watched an Arab citizen vote. Accused of genocide by regimes that have never held a free election. The ballot box doesn't read the headlines. Neither do we. Israel votes. Israel stays. #standwithIsrael #Israel #democracy

Gintas Vilkelis, PhD, FRSA Careful with that number. The 42% is pupils in Vienna's public compulsory schools, not the city's population, which the 2021 survey put closer to 15%. The school trend matters for policy, and policy is exactly why this is still a choice, not a point of no return.

Oran Dror אהבתי את זהOran Dror אהבתי את זהEveryone in AI knows “the bitter lesson” that more compute beats better algorithms. But there’s an EVEN MORE bitter lesson underneath. It’s that data matters more than compute, and doing the “right task” matters wayyy more than everything else. I call it the bitterest lesson… At OpenAI, we tested the “bitterest lesson” theory in the original RLHF paper. GPT-3 was the best language model in the world at the time. But if you asked it a question, it wouldn’t answer you. It would just autocomplete your text with the most likely next words (not v useful in real life). So we took a model 100x smaller (similar to GPT-2 🤏) and gave it a different “right task”. Instead of predicting the next word, it had to follow an instruction typed by a human. That could be a simple question, a summary request, or anything else an individual might type. Humans then ranked its responses by preference. We found that even with a dumber algorithm and less compute, the smaller model won. People preferred its answers to GPT-3’s - it was an insane discovery at the time. To close that gap with a bigger model alone, you’d have needed something like GPT-9. We managed to outperform a model with 100x more parameters just by giving ours a better task to follow 🫣 It proved pre-training wasn’t all you needed. What you optimize for matters wayyy more. And by changing the task we optimized for, we birthed a new era of AI and laid the foundations for ChatGPT. Now at TypeSafe AI, we’re building with a new “right task” in mind. Thousands perished, Jerusalem was devastated, and the spiritual heart of the Jewish people was reduced to ruins. Yet the destruction of the Temple did not destroy the Jewish nation. Despite centuries of exile, persecution and attempts to erase Jewish identity, the Jewish people preserved their faith, traditions, language and connection to their ancestral homeland. Nearly 2,000 years later, Israel stands again as a sovereign Jewish state. Empires rose and fell. Rome became history. The Jewish people survived. Israel's history did not begin in 1948. Since early 2025 more than $50 billion of U.S. generation capacity has traded in deals explicitly tied to data center load. Constellation took Calpine. NRG took LS Power's gas and storage portfolio. The follow-through has been heavier. LS Power closed Equity Partners IV at $6 billion against a $4 billion target. Blackstone paid roughly $1 billion for a 620 MW combined-cycle plant in Pennsylvania, and its venture with PPL has reserved more than 5 GW of gas turbines with sites that could support 14 GW. KKRalongside Nvidia and Vistra, stood up Helix Digital Infrastructure with more than $10 billion committed. Brookfield widened its Bloom Energy framework to as much as $25 billion. The underwriting is consistent across every one of these deals with long-duration, contracted cash flows on assets that can be bought or built in years That explains the nuclear gap. Hyperscalers have signed for 8 to 9 GW from existing reactors, restarts and uprates. Sponsors are happy to own the offtake story through generation platforms. The demand side is not slowing. Hyperscaler capex is tracking toward $600 to $700 billion for 2026, funded by a growing mix of corporate debt, equity and asset level financing. Infrastructure funds and private credit are taking the other side in turbines, substations and contracted generation. A turbine delivery slot and a signed interconnection now carry the scarcity premium the market used to assign to GPUs.
