Arctic7 is now live with its crowdfunding raise on StartEngine. We didn’t set out to build another studio, we set out to rethink how content gets made. Today, games, film and immersive experiences are converging, but the pipelines behind them are still fragmented, slow, and expensive. Arctic7 aims to change that. We make transmedia possible through bringing these elements together: - Full-scale game development - Virtual production for film & TV - Immersive/XR/VR production - Digital services for high-bandwidth production The result is faster production, more creative flexibility, and content that moves seamlessly across platforms. This is a structural shift in entertainment, and we’re already building inside it. If you believe in where this industry is heading, we’d love you to take a look and consider investing in our future. https://lnkd.in/eCEsDYmq #startengine #crowdfunding #transmedia This Reg CF offering is made available through StartEngine Primary, LLC, member FINRA/SIPC. This investment is speculative, illiquid, and involves a high degree of risk, including the possible loss of your entire investment.

We are adding another amazing game to the Funday portfolio. Booster Pack Heroes is very Steam 2026. Early prototype live on itch, solo developer, immediate hook, retro visuals, great core loop. It joins our packed release slate for this year. Scritchy Scratchy Northgard Battlegrounds The Margot Collapse All the while we continue supporting Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor with more content. Our publishing strategy is diversified with partner IP's, Originals and Third Party but unified around our established player communities and supporting creative people the best we can. We couldn't be happier helping zup games with the release.

Most conversations about games right now focus on building communities around new IP. But there’s a different question worth asking: What about the communities that already exist? Listening to the recent The Game Business episode with Scopely, it was interesting to hear how central community is to long term success. But many games already have deeply engaged audiences, they’ve just been left behind by technology. A lot of older titles still carry strong emotional connections and shared memories. The challenge is that those communities have been fragmented over time, often because the games themselves are no longer easily accessible. What’s starting to change is how technology can bring those players back together. With our cloud infrastructure and new layers like shared challenges and competitive features, older games don’t have to be static or purely nostalgic, they can become active again. Not just revisited, but re-engaged with. At Antstream, we’re seeing how these “dormant” communities can be reactivated when access is unlocked and new ways to play are introduced. Because it’s not just about making games playable again, it’s about making sure they can still be experienced, understood and shared with the next generation. What games community from times past were you a part of?

David Helgason took Unity all the way from a basement in Copenhagen to global glory. In conversation with Anne-Mette Sønderby Saugbjerg at DTU Skylab, he shared some glimpses into the journey. It’s a story of timing, reading the waves, and a lot of grit. When Saint Jobs announced the iPhone in 2007, the Unity team hacked together an iPhone build. They shipped early, maybe not with the *perfect* game development tool, but with one of the *only* game development tools for that ecosystem. That was the right call: Sequoia invested soon after and doors opened. David left Unity in 2014, now puts his effort into Transition Ventures, a deep tech fund that backs founders in the intersection between AI & the physical world to “upgrade legacy systems with cleaner, better, and more efficient alternatives”. If you’re working on something revolutionary that fits the bill, you should pitch them for sure.

Great to see our game featured by Epic Games and Unreal Engine. UE5 has been a great fit for our workflow, especially with PCG and Unreal’s built-in rigging and animation tools letting us work directly in-engine. Also grateful to be part of a strong local community through Unreal Meetup Denmark 😊 #UnrealEngine #EpicGames #UE5 #GameDevelopment #PCG #Animation #UnrealMeetupDenmark

The last year and a half have been challenging for us in Kanda. One of the major decisions was to move from Unity to Godot Engine. Unity had been the engine behind our content for 15 years. Together with a wider shift to open-source tools, the move has cut our total software license costs by 89%. It started as a financial decision. Along the way, the model behind Godot became just as important to us. Like Blender and Wikipedia, Godot is open source, with a core team funded by donations. This gives us a predictability we have learned to value highly for all software central to our product. As with any big migration, it had its challenges, but they were easier to solve than expected. We also saw efficiency gains from unexpected advantages, such as shorter build times and a much improved physics engine. Something we have put to good use in our upcoming Crane and Fire simulators. Our CEO, Kristian Too Andreasen still subscribes to the old vendors’ newsletters. A more emotional advantage of the change is that the regular price increases of the old systems, have turned into much more enjoyable emails to receive. 😀 #OpenSource #Godot #VRTraining
