Anna Keren posted thisWhich do you build first, product or store front? Effective store front excites the imagination, where product addresses user needs. Building a backend platform that brings value to clients but does not have a user interface(UI), creates a challenge that I have not envisaged. The UI for what I build is the tools like e-mail and messaging apps. But it is tricky to onboard non technical users when there is nothing for them to see. So this week I decided launch a dedicated UI to give people confidence in what we are doing because sometimes you need to see to believe.

We're building a future where every piece of waste is valued as a resource, and data is the missing piece in ensuring it's reduced, reused or recovered at scale. The team here is so innovative, passionate and driven, and this funding will fuel our expansion across north America and Europe. So far we've done over a trillion detections, have analysers in 20+ countries and are accelerating the global transition to a circular economy. If you fancy joining us, we're hiring https://lnkd.in/ehXxYrQ3

The school event buried in the group chat. The birthday party you didn't know was happening. That World Something Day you didn't know existed. All of it scheduled. No new app. Aevyn comes to where you are. It's built for the person who carries the family's mental load, but anyone drowning in messages will feel the difference. We've been refining it over months with a small group of early users in London. It isn't finished, but the next part should be built by the people using it. You can sign up at the link below. Anna Keren liked thisAnna Keren liked thisAn old plan for new systems? You have an opportunity to rebuild society exactly as you want it. But there is a catch. You don’t know where you’ll be placed at the end of it. Not your name, your race, your gender - nothing. John Rawls, who wrote about this thought experiment back in 1971, probably wasn’t thinking about AI companies when he did it, but I think it applies. The people currently building the systems know where they land, and that can’t help but influence what gets built. While technology moves faster than regulation, perhaps this idea - that we stand behind a ‘veil of ignorance,’ is where self-governance can start. At the very least, it’s worth asking who benefits from not using it.

We sat down with the co-founder of a $1B tech company. He shared with us how engineering teams can leverage AI in ways no one has been thinking about. Most engineering teams aren't struggling with whether to use AI. They're struggling with how to extract real value from it. In July, we co-hosted an event with Guy Gur-Ari (co-founder, Augment Code) and Tushar Jain (CTO, Docker) to discuss what they are seeing in engineering teams. Guy pointed out that building with AI agents requires a fundamental shift in how engineers think about their craft. It's no longer about reading code, reasoning through it, refining it line by line. Working effectively with AI introduces a new skill entirely. It's about breaking problems down so intelligent systems can actually help. This shift takes time because you're rewiring decade-old habits, current workflows, and expectations. This Thursday, January 15th, we're hosting a small, off-the-record dinner for CXOs to have an honest conversation about one question I’m hearing everywhere: How are engineering teams actually getting real leverage from AI in code today? I'll be joined by Guy and Igor Ostrovsky (co-founders of Augment Code) and peers from Enrich - our private members-only network of CTOs and VPs of Engineering from companies like OpenAI, Slack, and Reddit. We'll share what's working, what's not, and how teams are adapting in practice - not theory. Comment if you're interested in joining; priority given to Enrich members.

New Edition of Tech Manager Weekly is here! If you’re in London this Thursday, we’re bringing the CTO Craft community together at Tessl AI HQ — with over 100 CTOs already signed up and Guy Podjarny sharing how teams are scaling AI across organisations. A few extra places just opened if you’d like to join us. Inside this week’s issue: • Why losing visibility is more dangerous than losing control • The messy reality behind most AI strategies • Handling unreasonable expectations as a leader • Sandboxing teams instead of railroading them • Why AI hasn’t killed Agile (yet) • The hidden mental load of leading product and engineering orgs Also coming up: our Engineering 2028 Leadership Masterclass with Damilah on 7 May — a practical look at what scaling AI across teams actually requires beyond tooling. Read the issue: https://lnkd.in/e_jDcGBd Thanks to Damilah for sponsoring this week’s edition. #CTOCraft #EngineeringLeadership #AILeadership #TechLeadership #DeveloperExperience #AgileLeadership #TeamDesign #CTOCommunity

"They aren't spending a greater share of their AI time using AI. They're spending a greater share on the work around it: setting context, defining what 'good' looks like, building judgment, and deciding what should never have been handed to a model in the first place." This article squares with the pains we see when working with customers scaling AI products. Teams aren't spending their days shipping - but instead spending weeks closing last-mile gaps in model judgement, even on simple tasks that an expert would easily get right. At Sutro, we refer to this as Eval Hell. The fix isn't reversing course, but instead building better tools to adapt to new ways of working. Compress painful developer loops into their smallest for factor, freeing up engineers to do their most creative work and ship great products. https://lnkd.in/gzG5ZnSE

Most support bots underperform because they see only a fraction of your customer reality. You can swap models, tweak prompts, change tone all day. If your policies, product changes and tickets live in five disconnected systems, the agent is basically guessing with a polite voice. On the latest episode of the Hyperengage Podcast, I sat down with Vlad Shlosberg, CEO of Foqal, to dig into this idea from the ground up, from how agents should read and act on company data to what MCP-style connectors unlock once you treat them as core product, not plumbing. If your AI plans start with the bot and not with the data and actions behind it, you are building the story in the wrong order.

Join live June 1 at 11:45 AM // 🇬🇧London & 🍿Virtual Tomorrow at AI Native DevCon, Shachar Azriel (VP Product @ Baz) will share how teams can build a verification layer for agentic coding. As AI agents become better at writing code, the challenge shifts from implementation to verification. How do you ensure generated code actually matches product requirements, design intent, and engineering constraints? The talk covers turning tickets into executable specs, validating implementations against design, and securely verifying agent output in isolated sandboxes, along with lessons learned from real-world deployments. >> https://lnkd.in/dKT4nrZd

At Pandorian, we're seeing a fascinating shift happen in real time. Engineering leaders' primary occupation today has become rule-writing, and the ability to articulate a rule, refine it, scope it and effectively enforce it is becoming an art form. More on why 👇 https://lnkd.in/dWJwEuEM

As CEO of Pecan AI, I lead… • 28K followers
This Saturday, I’ll be speaking at TEDx in Cambridge about a shift I believe we are still underestimating. AI will not merely answer our questions. It will predict, decide, and increasingly shape what happens next. The next frontier is the fusion of LLMs, predictive AI, and reinforcement learning into systems that can understand context, compute likely outcomes, and optimize action before the future arrives. Which leaves us with a harder question: What remains uniquely human at the edge of prediction, agency, and control? Looking forward to exploring this on stage.

How do you turn a £5.4b company’s office into a funky hackathon? With these guys. 👇 You get an Alex, and a Lev, you throw in a spice of production, lights and give me a mic… You end up with 50 devs, jumping alongside mentors, exited founders and top CTOs feeling more accomplished and closer to each other than anything can ever achieve. It’s not about the prizes. It’s not about the coding. It’s not about the agents. It’s not about the MC 🙋♂️ (or is it? 😅) It’s about the experience. Sounds cringe, but I promise it’s the truth. I’ve put together over 1,000 events. From the Royal Albert Hall, to the London Business School. And I am convinced, the best marketing in the world of AI is in-person marketing. Experiential events. Popups. People. Photo ft. Lev Perlman 🇬🇧 (Founder Metamindz), Alex Ingram (Founder Queen.Social), and I running the best hackathon I’ve seen in my life for Hargreaves Lansdown ✌️
