I’ve never worked at a startup before, and I always wondered… could I survive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment?  I didn’t get a chance to join a startup, but I do work at a game dev company for almost 2 years now, where the industry moves fast and things change all the time. Plans shift, priorities update, and new initiatives can start suddenly and need to be delivered quickly.  What I’ve learned:  - Adapt fast when things change  - Shift projects when needed  - Act even though there is some uncertainty  - Work with the team closely to keep things moving  - Stay flexible but focused to get things done  What helped me:  - Precise planning of tasks so nothing falls through the cracks  - Keeping files and work organized  - Sleep, rest, exercise, and taking vacation to recharge (this is a must!)  This experience has made me more confident, resilient, and better at handling uncertainty. I’m proud of it!  Have you ever worked in an environment that pushed you to adapt? What lessons did you learn?

Room 8 Group is partnering with Stockholm-based animation technology company Motorica to expand scalable animation capabilities for our partners. 🤝 Modern gameplay demands more animation than ever, and pipelines need to keep pace. During internal validation inside a UE5 workflow, Motorica’s toolset demonstrated faster locomotion and traversal authoring, with fewer cleanup cycles and consistent results across variations—a meaningful gain for teams working under tight production timelines.  🗣️ Reflecting on the partnership, our Anna Kozlova said: “Motorica expands our technology ecosystem and provides additional flexibility for projects where advanced motion generation aligns with a client’s production model, technical framework, and resource strategy.” This collaboration strengthens our ability to support gameplay-ready animation—giving our partners more flexibility without compromising control. Here’s my thought: besides the people (obviously), it’s the fact that recruitment at Wargaming is viewed as a partnership, not a “service.” That’s incredibly important and meaningful, and unfortunately, it’s not the case in every company.

Every game studio faces a different hiring challenge 👇 For Chloe Adams 🌱 , Senior Talent Partner, that means tailoring the hiring strategy to each studio's stage, goals, and team. That might look like: ✅ Understanding roadmaps before hiring starts, so every search reflects the team's goals ✅ Building hiring processes from scratch for studios without an internal function ✅ Auditing employer brand and candidate experience, from website to interview process Hiring support should grow with the studio. 📎 Read our success stories and see how we build scalable talent systems: https://lnkd.in/eTjkRv94

I used to think #confidence was something you either had or didn't have. Early in my career, I preferred to listen, stay quiet, and go along with the opinions of others. I saw disagreement as a potential sign of disrespect. Working at Wargaming changed that perspective. Over time, I realized that confidence isn't a #personality trait—it's a habit built through #consistency. ⚡️Consistently sharing your thoughts. ⚡️Consistently contributing to discussions. ⚡️Consistently being willing to challenge ideas constructively. The more I spoke up, the more I discovered that my opinions had #value. And the more I contributed, the more #respect I earned from colleagues and stakeholders. Lessons learned 👇 Confidence didn't appear overnight. It emerged from repeatedly #showingup, participating, and trusting my own #judgment. Confidence is built through #consistency. What's one habit that helped you become more confident in your career?

Working in the gaming industry is just one part of the story for these women. As part of our Women's History Month campaign, we're putting the spotlight on six SciPlayers from studios across the globe: Adi Nadav, Anjali M., Pamela Wagner, Inna Mokrova, İdil T., and Michelle Elbert. Different time zones, different careers, different paths that led them here. But they bring the same passion to everything they do, both in and out of work. That's what #beYOU is all about. When people feel free to bring their whole selves, the ideas get bigger, the teams get stronger, and the games we build together show it. Swipe through to get to know them, and where their passions take them outside the studio. If you’re looking for a place where that’s valued, explore our opportunities here: https://lnkd.in/gA4bfPu #WomensHistoryMonth #LifeAtSciPlay #WomenInGaming #WomenInTech
