I’ve always been inspired by the sheer grit of entrepreneurs and I love Tide’s goal of letting our 1.8 million members focus on their passion while Tide handles the complexity, including the back office, of running a business. My mission in this new role is to ensure our technology works tirelessly behind the scenes so our members don’t have to. At Tide, we are embossing AI into the everyday workflows of entrepreneur members to strip away administrative complexity. Whether it’s automating manual processes or providing deeper financial insights as your own “AI CFO”, our goal is to make the "boring stuff" invisible. I'm looking forward to leading our global team of 700+ engineers to give small business owners back their most valuable resource: the time to focus on their passion. The new build is deeply integrated with LLMs. For every decline, it now works out: - Which route gives the best odds of recovery - How much dispute exposure that route carries - Whether the smarter move is actually not to retry at all On top of that sits agentic monitoring, watching for revenue leaking out of the flow in real time, not in a monthly report. Heres why that combination matters right now: the card schemes keep tightening dispute-rate thresholds, not loosening them. - Recover more the old way, by retrying harder → usually more disputes - Recover more by routing smarter → higher recovered revenue and a lower dispute rate We've already recovered $200M+ for 100+ merchants on the platform before this upgrade. Im heading to #Money2020 in Las Vegas, my first as COO at Paymend, to talk about what changes now. I'll be at The Venetian, October 18-21. This is a true calling, and I am super thrilled to be working with this amazing team - and a few of my former colleagues again. Making it easier for people across Europe to find the things they love, wherever they happen to be. That one-of-a-kind collectible someone in Germany has been hunting for years might already be sitting with a seller in France. A sneaker seller in Italy shouldn't have to think of their opportunity as ending at the Italian border. That's the magic of eBay – Things. People. Love. And it's something we can make much easier. Internally, we've started describing the challenge with three simple words: visible, shippable, shoppable. 👀 Visible — make Europe's inventory easy to find and understand, wherever it was listed. 📦 Shippable — make getting it across a border simple and reliable, without creating extra work for sellers. 🛍️ Shoppable — give buyers the confidence to say yes — including through things like authentication and trusted experiences. This work is already underway. Our Berlin authentication hub, which now also covers France and Italy, is one example. And I'm very happy to be taking the next step together with Celine Saada-Benaben and a fantastic group of leaders and teams across Europe. One Europe by the way doesn't mean one-size-fits-all. Our local teams know their customers and sellers best. The opportunity is to combine that local strength with the scale of Europe. We don't have every answer yet. And that's part of the fun. We get to build this together. My hope is that buying and selling across Europe starts to feel as natural as buying and selling within your own country. There's a lot to connect. And I can't wait to get going. PS: You'll probably see a little more English from me here from now on. It feels like the right moment to make this account a little more European too.

Definitely a memorable setting for a tech talk 🤩
