Interior designer Mixalis Khoury approaches design by tuning out trends and leaning into instinct, which he calls his ‘chaos’. This mindset shaped a recent project he worked on – a high-rise apartment in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Mixalis layered a rich mix of details, from retro style vases to bronze pendant lights, each chosen for the warmth they added to the space. While he doesn’t like restricting himself to a direction or concept, Mixalis is inspired by the creativity and freedom of 1970s design. For him, those interiors radiate expression and positivity, ‘I belong to that era’, he adds. We design quality home and commercial fittings that coordinate together. Hardware | Switches & Sockets | Lighting
نبذة عنا
At Corston, we aim to take the stress out of finding fantastic fittings; making home renovation projects a little easier. We think the parts of your home you use every day – like handles, switches, sockets and lighting – should be done right, so we take time to design and develop these products ourselves. We tend to stay away from trends, instead focusing on creating perfectly proportioned, simple and timeless designs that’ll feel at home in any home. There’s continuity between our ranges and product types so that everything coordinates from room to room. As an online business we have a direct relationship with our customers, so we understand exactly who we’re designing for. It’s a relationship we’ll never take for granted and will continue to nurture as the company grows.

We’re thrilled to reveal the rooms at the 2026 Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach. Founded in New York over fifty years ago, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has raised millions for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, supporting educational programs for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. For the first time this year, there were two houses, where 23 designers and architects were given their own distinctive space to work on. It was a pleasure seeing our lighting, hardware, switches, and outlets work across so many rooms and styles. If you’d like to experience the creativity in person, the houses will be open to the public every day until March 24th.

Our team has been taking a sneak peek at the Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach – an event we’re delighted to sponsor. Set within a striking waterfront property, the show brings together leading interior designers, each transforming a space in their own distinct style. This year also marks the debut of a second residence, The Palm Cottage, extending the creative vision across the street for the first time. Founded in New York over fifty years ago, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has raised millions for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, supporting educational and developmental programmes for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. We’re proud to support this cause, and it’s been great seeing how our lighting, hardware, switches and outlets have been used in a range of rooms, in many ways, across varied styles. We're looking forward to revealing these designs to you soon.

Our stylist and set designer, Edith Langford (we know her as Eddy), joined interior designer Olivia Caplan to talk about finding your style. To start, it helps to choose a focal point: an architectural detail or a meaningful object that anchors the space. Next, think about how to introduce character, which often comes from natural materials and original features. In Olivia’s Victorian renovation, materials such as wood, stone, linen and antique brass have helped reinstate warmth, patina and a sense of heritage. When it comes to pattern, Olivia likes to be bold, with patterns on walls and even ceilings, while Eddy prefers a softer touch, like a hint of wallpaper inside a wardrobe or on cabinet doors. Eddy notes a growing appetite for playful, small-scale patterns, with burgundy emerging as a key tone in 2026. But when navigating new trends, ‘keep your core principles strong,’ says Olivia. That means having timeless foundations, like flooring, switches and sockets. But above all, trust your instincts. 'Get a feel for what you’re personally drawn to,’ says Olivia. ‘What's important is that it makes you feel something when you look at it'.

It was our first time at KBIS in Orlando – the premier kitchen and bathroom show in the USA. As North America’s largest show of its kind, it brings together manufacturers, designers and industry professionals for three days of innovation and connection. Attendees can discover the products, technologies, and ideas shaping the industry in 2026 and beyond. At Corston, innovation is part of our process. We’re always looking to improve and evolve. And as our presence in the American market grows, we’ll be revealing new products and plans along the way. Thank you KBIS.

On the iconic Palm Jumeirah, interior designer Mixalis Khoury reimagined a high-rise apartment. He wanted to create a warm, inviting interior that softened the pace of one of the most dynamic and diverse cities in the world. By layering gentle textiles, retro touches and bronze details, he achieved just that. The result is a calm, welcoming enclave in the heart of the city. Watch the full video to hear about how he did it: https://lnkd.in/ehSBC384

Right now, we’re at the largest kitchen and bath show in the USA. KBIS is a three-day event featuring the latest designs in kitchen and bathroom innovation. It’s our first time exhibiting here, and we’ve had a great couple of days so far with lots of conversations. Today is the last day, and our team are in the South Hall, booth S26075, with our lighting, hardware, switches and outlets on full display, so visitors can experience our designs in person and appreciate their weight, quality and specification. Each piece is made from solid brass, and comes in three metal finishes: bronze, antique brass and polished nickel. We also have paintable and clear plate options for a more personalised look.

Welcome to our new showroom in Nice. With a rich mix of architecture, museums, galleries and art schools, this cultural capital is a great place to be for designers and creatives. We’re situated in the heart of the city, opposite Musée Masséna, an art history museum, which is also next door to the infamous Le Negresco, an architectural landmark of culture overlooking the French Riveira. Our new showroom is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am–6.00pm, and on Saturday from 10.00am–4.00pm. Feel free to drop by and see the space (and our thoughtfully designed pieces) for yourself at 52 Rue de France.

How do you find your style? Interior designer Olivia Caplan Design and our stylist and set designer Edith Langford (we know her as Eddy) came together to answer this question. Whether you’re starting with a blank space or reworking an existing room, building a scheme can feel daunting, and knowing where to begin isn’t always easy. To help you get going, Olivia and Eddy put together example moodboards, brainstormed starting points and discussed various ways of working with whatever space you have. They then shared practical tips on adding pattern, colour and character, and how to create a space that will withstand both trends and time. Another launch for our European customers… We now offer a single 2x retractive rocker switch for use across mainland Europe. If you're unfamiliar with the term, retractive switches differ from standard switches because they return to their original 'off' position once released. They can be used with things like doorbells, electric blinds and in-sink food waste grinders. Or, when paired with our in-line dimmer module, a simple 'press and hold' will allow you to adjust the light levels in a space. The benefit of choosing retractive switches is that you don’t need to mix switch styles when dimming. Pairing rocker switches with retractive rocker switches means you keep the same rocker design throughout, creating a cleaner, consistent and more considered look. What’s more, this switch can be paired with our smart in-line dimmer module, offering lighting control via smartphone, tablet or voice too.
