John Furrier reposted thisJohn Furrier reposted thisIn hardware, #timing is everything, and not just inside the chip. This week I joined the GSA Women's Leadership Initiative at TheCUBE x NYSE, in conjunction with NYSE Wired, to talk about NPI, manufacturing, supply chain, and AI. A theme kept coming up: AI is compressing every timeline. Customers want parts qualified faster, supply chains need to absorb shocks with less buffer, and the gap between a working prototype and high-volume production has never cost more. At Stathera, Inc., that's the challenge we're taking on in timing itself, building MEMS-based solutions for datacenter and physical AI systems that demand more precision and resilience than legacy quartz was designed to deliver. What stood out most, though, were the women on stage and in the room; executives who are shaping how this industry builds, ships, and scales. Smart, candid, and generous with what they've learned. It was a privilege to share the conversation with Iliana Chen, Gina Longoria, Varalakshmi Ramagiri, Alisa Wang, Rimjhim (Rimi) Dasgupta, Vidya Neerkundar, Letizia Giuliano, Sophie W., Nisha Ananthakrishnan, Patricia MacLeod, and Tazrien Kamal. Thank you to Global Semiconductor Alliance for championing this initiative, to Elizabeth Lagaly for her leadership and support, and to the producers and anchors at theCUBE and NYSE Wired for a seamless, thoughtful production: John Furrier, Alison Kosik, CFEI, Brian J. Baumann and Chuck Alley. For those leading #NPI or supply chain today: where is #AI changing your timelines the most?

John Furrier shared thisAI making chips is a big wave that will accelerate innovation. Vinci has some secret sauce that will make everything be faster and more creative for the new chip revolutionJohn Furrier shared thisChip design involves countless physical decisions: which material to use, where to place a via, how many layers to build. Traditionally, testing each choice against the physics has required specialist time and days or weeks of analysis. JOHN BRUGGEMAN recently joined John Furrier on SiliconANGLE & theCUBE to explain how Vinci brings those answers to design engineers in seconds, so they can make each decision with confidence and move forward. For engineering teams, that means months removed from time to market and double-digit reductions in overbuilt designs, along with the freedom to pursue more ambitious ideas earlier. He also shares what Vinci’s recent Series B unlocks, why bringing every type of physics into one model matters, and how Vinci is expanding into automotive, aerospace, and defense. John Furrier reposted thisJohn Furrier reposted thisShortly after becoming CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Matt Garman put a stake in the ground: agentic AI would become AWS's next multi-billion-dollar business. John Furrier liked thisJohn Furrier liked thisThe Vulnpocalypse - Good News and Bad News - The bad news is we are inundated with new vulnerabilities due to the increased volumes discovered by AI tooling. - The good news is many organizations are starting to handle this with increased speed, prioritization, and existing methods of defense in depth. - The bad news is there are also many organizations not doing this, and worse, are sitting on a whole ton of software, configuration, and structural/policy vulnerabilities from prior years. - The good news is many of these targets have not been exploited due to attacker’s resource constraints. - The bad news is that this might not hold as attackers industrialize their capabilities to turn more targets of opportunity into actual victims. - The good news is, apart from scams, crypto/Web3, and some parts of the ransomware kill chain, it appears that such industrialization is not helping monetization (yet). - The bad news is attackers are an innovative bunch and not likely to give up and go set up a bakery, or go back to drug dealing. Besides, chaos may still ensue as agent swarms simply exploit vulnerabilities anyway. - The good news is defenders can use all this AI capability for defense. We are seeing the potential that many significant code bases will have dramatically lower vulnerabilities levels than ever before due to the “deep cleaning” (h/t Heather Adkins) with the very same tools we are concerned attackers will use. - The bad news is getting a code base “clean” doesn’t mean the updated packaged software will arrive quickly in all the places where attacks will target. The good news is……..? https://lnkd.in/e-B6ZSYPThe Vulnpocalypse - Good News and Bad NewsThe Vulnpocalypse - Good News and Bad News

John Furrier liked thisJohn Furrier liked this10 years at Snowflake, what a life-altering journey! I joined a decade ago because of the incredible people, breakthrough innovation of our founders Benoit Dageville & Thierry Cruanes (the best & nicest founder duo in Silicon Valley IMO), and enormous growth potential I saw in this little company. Ten years later, I’m still here for the same reasons. I wouldn’t have joined, and certainly wouldn’t still be here, without the best CMO in the business, Denise Persson. Denise built a one-of-its-kind marketing org with a culture that values individualism but celebrates working together as one. It lifts you up, challenges you & brings out your strengths. I’ve also had the privilege of working with three extraordinary CEOs— Bob Muglia, Frank Slootman and now Sridhar Ramaswamy. Learning from these three incredible execs whose leadership styles are so unique, has been a crash course in vision, innovation & building something outstanding. Today, a huge reason I’m still at Snowflake is our amazing communications team led by my leaders Danica Stanczak Kaitlyn Hopkins Fatima Adam Katherine James Olivia (Kealey) Kennedy. Truly the best comms talent I’ve ever worked with, and an even better group of human beings. Under the leadership of our CCO, Stella Low we’re building AI for comms that will fundamentally change how we think about & execute comms campaigns and I can’t wait to see where we can take this. There is no question that Snowflake has incredible momentum. As the world realizes that AI is only as powerful as the secure, governed data behind it, Snowflake is uniquely positioned to be a winner in what to come in the AI race. Ten years in, and I’m just as excited about what’s ahead as I was on day one, and so, the journey continues!

2025 was a pivotal year for RealSense. 🗓️ As they began planning their spinout from Intel, one #media outlet misinterpreted it as a move to shut down the business unit, and it was never corrected. ⚠️ The mistake created a long-lasting ripple effect, suggesting the operation and its product line were shutting down just as the Intel spinoff was setting sail. To better understand how RealSense was represented across #AI search engines, we developed our #GEO tool, Audit*E, and discovered platforms like ChatGPT were incorrectly describing RealSense as defunct, and we set out to correct this false narrative So, how did we right this wrong? Our #PR team secured over 500 stories once the news was official, and our #SocialMedia team worked alongside the RealSense team to get the right message across LinkedIn, Wikipedia, and YouTube. ✔️ 🤖 Curtis Sparrer shares how we helped bring RealSense back to life in AI Realized: https://bit.ly/4c7R3jH

The Quarterly was never meant to compete with the speed of the news cycle. ELECTE already publishes across newsletters, podcasts, radio and other formats built for more immediate ideas. The Quarterly has a different job: to make room for arguments that deserve more time, evidence and judgment. That distinction is at the heart of the new Startup Fortune feature. Websites are now serving two distinct audiences, John-Paul Syriatowicz, Co-Founder and Chair at Squiz, pointed out, and one of them is not human. When AI tools like ChatGPT answer a question, the content powering those answers often comes from websites that were crawled during model training. For queries that require up to date information, agentic AI goes further and checks websites in real time to retrieve current data. That shift means every website now has to perform for two very different audiences. The first is still human visitors. The second is the growing layer of bots and AI agents that crawl sites to feed information into new AI powered experiences across different channels. The tools and approaches that worked for a human audience alone are not sufficient when AI agents are also reading, interpreting, and acting on the content.
