Building robots is serious work. So is Halloween. 🎃 We had Terminator, a crew of astronauts, Costco pizza, a circus ringmaster, Rosie the Riveter and Rosie the Robot + many others. At Mind, we make time to celebrate and show up for the fun the same way we show up for the work. Which costume gets your vote? 👇 We’re hiring too, if this looks like your kind of team: https://lnkd.in/gB7YdQF4 #MindRobotics #Robotics #LifeAtMind #HalloweenAtMind
About us
Mind Robotics is building generalizable robotics for real-world industrial deployment. We believe the fastest path to broadly capable robots is to work on clearly defined, high impact problems. That's why we're starting where the need is most acute, and the environment is most exacting: the factory floor, in partnership with Rivian. We are building a lean, collaborative team where every individual has a massive impact. Researchers and engineers work hand in hand with hardware every day. We’re looking for builders who are passionate about robotics and live for the challenge of making systems work in the real world. Explore opportunities at https://www.mindrobotics.com/

Please welcome Doug Field, our new President! Doug has spent his career taking complex hardware from early design to high-volume production. We're excited to have him help us take our first robots into real factories at scale. Welcome to the team, Doug! Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/gBw7Nvjq

𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬: 𝐉𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 & 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐬 Jon spent 10+ years at Tesla before taking a break, then went looking for impactful and exciting work landing on AI + robotics. "Feels like I've been training for this role for the last 10 years without knowing it." What sealed it for Mind: the Rivian partnership- direct access to high-quality factory data, no need to sell a customer on letting a robot onto their floor, and a founding team he already respected. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞? "Firmware + controls - the layer that turns what the AI decides into how the robot actually does it: spinning motors, reading sensors, coordinating everything in real time." His favorite part of the job hasn't changed in a decade: writing code that controls physical systems and watching it move in the real world. What's new is the team - deep expertise across mechanical, actuation, electrical, and AI. "The best part of working here is the people and the deep expertise they possess." He's proud to be early enough to help shape the robot's initial architecture. His take: if you want real influence on a first-of-its-kind robot design, now's the time. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭? "A direct pipeline into Rivian's factory means fast, real feedback on production performance - and no shortage of new problems to solve. RJ's vision goes well beyond Rivian." His advice to his younger self: work on interesting things, have fun doing it. The rest follows.

We are incredibly excited to share that Mind Robotics has closed our latest funding round led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from an incredible group of partners including Prysm Capital, Meritech Capital, Redpoint, Incharge Capital Partners, SV Angel, A*, Accel, Eclipse, Greenoaks, Andreessen Horowitz, and Garuda Ventures. Our focus remains exactly where it started: on the factory floor. We are building robots that don't just follow instructions, but actually understand and interact with the physical world. But most importantly, we are excited to find more of the right people to build this with. We’re just getting started.

We were thrilled to partner with Silicon Valley Robotics this week at the Rivian space in SF! It was a privilege to host such a high-concentration of builders and operators for an evening dedicated to the next phase of the robotics industry. A major highlight was the keynote from our Founder, RJ Scaringe, who shared Mind’s vision for the future of industrial deployment and the technical realities of scaling Physical AI. Events like these remind us why the Bay Area remains the heartbeat of technical innovation. Thank you to the Rivian, Andra Keay, and everyone who joined us to share their expertise—the energy in the room was a great signal for what's coming in 2026. 🦾 #mindrobotics #svr

It takes a world-class village to build world-class robotics. We are thrilled to welcome Accel and Andreessen Horowitz as co-leads for our $500M Series A. Their expertise, alongside our incredible cohort of investors— Eclipse, Hanabi Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Prysm Capital, Bain Capital Ventures (BCV), Greenoaks, and Allen & Company LLC. —gives us the fuel to scale our technology and our team faster than ever. Thank you for the trust and the partnership. Were just getting started. 🦾

Today we announced a $500M Series A, co-led by Accel and Andreessen Horowitz, following our $115M seed round announced late last year. Mind Robotics is building the next generation of AI-enabled robotic systems for industrial environments. While traditional industrial robots excel at repeatable tasks, a large portion of factory work still requires human-like dexterity, adaptation, and physical reasoning — problems that today’s automation systems can’t solve. We’re building a platform designed to close that gap. We’re also incredibly excited to partner with Rivian as our exclusive pilot partner, providing a real-world environment to train and deploy these systems at scale and helping create a powerful data flywheel for improving the models. Still early days, but the team we’re building and the problems we’re tackling are incredibly exciting. https://lnkd.in/euYYP9xf
