Harvey Elliott reposted thisHarvey Elliott reposted thisAI law is constantly evolving which can make compliance a tricky path to navigate. However, maintaining a documented approach to AI is essential in ensuring third party support across the industry. That’s why Ukie has partnered with specialist legal experts Sheridans to create an industry-wide AI compliance framework with a recognised usage standard for the UK games industry and avoid confusion or unseen issues cropping up. After a short, confidential questionnaire on your AI usage and training, Sheridans will meet with your studio for an initial assessment. This will then influence your new AI use policy or a review and update to your existing one. You will then be awarded the Ukie AI Certification Mark to demonstrate your credentials. Harvey Elliott shared thisPlaystack is celebrating its 10th anniversary! When I founded the company in 2016, the aim was to build a publisher that works closely with developers, backs strong ideas, and connects great games with the right audiences. Ten years on, we are still here, still growing, and continue to work with talented teams around the world. I’m grateful to everyone who has been part of that journey. Over the past decade we’ve supported over 50 games, made possible by our developers and the people throughout Playstack who work tirelessly to bring those great projects to life. Along the way we’ve had the opportunity to be part of some significant moments, including: • Global award nominations and wins, including at the BAFTA Games Awards; • Representing Playstack at The Game Awards; • Recognised as Best UK Publisher in 2025 and 2026 by UKIE; and • Named one of the Best Places to Work by Gamesindustry.biz in consecutive years, uncommon in our industry. Through initiatives such as 'Playstack U', and 'Playstack on Tour' our team shares practical insights and advice supporting developers through talks, mentoring and community engagement; enabling us to continue to invest in our people, and the industry. We’ll be marking this milestone throughout the year and sharing more along the way. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating what’s been achieved so far, and in what comes next. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story. Harvey

Harvey Elliott reposted thisHarvey Elliott reposted thisI am so excited about the new Digital Schoolhouse mission - I firmly believe that we are in the middle of the 2nd great literacy project of the last 150 years, this time focused on equipping children and young people to live safely and well in an always-on, digitally-connected society. The #DSHmission30 is a declaration of intent on behalf of the UK video games and interactive entertainment industry - we will play our part in ensuring that every child has access to the life-changing resources of a Digital Schoolhouse. After 11 successful years thanks to the support and engagement of video games businesses large and small, 77% of schools in the UK are located within 50km of a Digital Schoolhouse - giving educators much-needed help to engage learners through play and to boost computer science teaching. The ambition set by the inspirational Shahneila Saeed, FRSA and the Digital Schoolhouse team is to make that 100% of all UK schools by 2030. It's a huge ambition, but in an industry that builds impossible worlds every day, I believe we can make it happen. So contact the team today using the online form at https://lnkd.in/eDdKmPKK and find out how you can help ensure that every child gets the digital future they deserve. Harvey Elliott liked thisHarvey Elliott liked thisToday marks one year at Playstack! 🎮 I’m not usually one for having much to say (although some of you may disagree with that if you know me). It’s been a crazy year, to say the least, and one that’s absolutely flown by. Since joining Playstack, I’ve had the chance to work across some brilliant games and work alongside some incredibly talented people. This year has also included working on Mortal Shell II, my biggest project so far, alongside plenty of other exciting projects still to come! The gaming industry isn’t just about game development, or what the stereotypes might suggest. There are so many different roles, skills and ways to be part of the industry. So, if you’re ever interested in learning more about the different opportunities within gaming, my inbox is always open. You never know where you might land.

Budget 2025: Taxes, Productivity and Growth The Rt Hon Rachel Reeves MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, delivered her second Budget on 26thNovember 2025. The Budget included the following announcements: 1️⃣ The Office of Budget Responsibility (OBR) forecasts that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will grow by 1.5 per cent in 2025, above the 1 per cent predicted earlier this year, but growth for 2026 to 2029 is predicted to be lower. 2️⃣ The OBR also predicts that productivity growth will be 0.3 per cent lower, at 1 per cent by the end of the forecast. 3️⃣ Inflation will be 3.5 per cent in 2025, 2.5 per cent in 2026. 4️⃣ The OBR notes that the Budget will raise taxes by £26 billion by 2029-30. The tax take will be at an all-time high of 38 per cent of GDP in 2030-31. The increase in taxes will be achieved via: freezing tax thresholds on personal tax and employer NICs contributions for three years from 2028-29 to 2030/21; taxing salary sacrificed pension contributions above £2,000 from 2029; increasing the tax rates on property, savings and dividends by 2 per cent; reduced capital gains tax relief; higher gambling levy, etc. 5️⃣ Public debt is forecast to increase from 83.1 per cent of GDP to 83.7 per cent in 2028-29, then declining to 83 per cent in 2029-30. 6️⃣ The cash ISA allowance will be cut from £20,000 to £12,000 for people under 65, from 2027. 7️⃣ The Two-child benefit cap will be scrapped. The current limit restricts the number of children for whom low-income families can claim welfare benefits. 8️⃣ Full time workers on the National Living Wage will see a rise of £900 a year, while full-time workers on the 18-20 National Minimum wage rate will experience an increase of £1,500. 9️⃣ The Government will keep the £1 million Annual Investment Allowance offers to offer immediate tax relief on plant and machinery equipment. 🔟 The Government also announced some technical changes regarding AVEC, VGEC and VFX. There is more detail here: Creative industries and Research and Development tax reliefs: administrative changes - GOV.UK Today’s Budget saw the Chancellor focus on rebuilding her fiscal headroom via tax increases to meet her key fiscal rules. The Government needs to drive economic growth across the UK. The video games industry can support this objective. Our industry generates £12 billion in Gross Value Added annually, supports more than 73,000 jobs (including approximately 28,000 developers), and contributes £2.2 billion in tax revenues. The best way to accelerate growth in the UK video games industry is to enhance our Video Games Expenditure Credit (VGEC). TIGA research with the University of Portsmouth shows that a VGEC with a rate of 53 per cent on qualifying costs for games with budgets of up to £15 million could create over 6,000 jobs including over 800 development roles, whilst generating tax revenues for HM Treasury. TIGA will continue to make the case for an enhanced VGEC and measures to improve studios' access to finance.

WARDOGS Retention Statistics 📊 D1 80.6% D3 92.3% D7 98.5% This is a lot higher than we expected if we’re honest. Interested to see where D30 ends up, we don’t see WARDOGS having the same longevity as Helldivers or ARC Raiders, the lack of PVE and how approachable those games are comparatively harms it. But sales are holding as we start getting close to 2.5m units..
