Reedah N. El-Saie shared thisFull circle moment - the wonderful Yassaman Haj Mohammad Ali interned with me almost 15yrs ago when I ran MICA Gallery! And now she was gracious enough to invite Iman El-Saie to the private view and auction of Modern & Contemporary Art at Phillips! Thank you for being so kind and generous with your time Yassi. These experiences have really inspired Iman not only as she is exploring future career options but also giving her the space and encouragement to authentically develop her own art practice. Building on her track record as an Academic Scholar and Art Scholar offered by Alexandra Haydon at Francis Holland School - Sloane Square and more recently an Art Scholarship from St Paul's Girls' School Iman was really inspired to explore her Pakistani and Egyptian culture and heritage through art. Can’t wait to see what’s next Iman El-Saie - I love that you are seizing every opportunity to build skills and experience and open to internships in all industries! Look forward to your catch for advice and guidance from Roxane Zand If you or anyone in your network are offering internship or work experience opportunities please let us know! carolina ghertsos Yamini Mehta Kate Hall-Tipping Ahlya Rafique Fateh Afsor Miah Sadik Miah Asha Easton Nora Aldabal Rebecca Foote Dr. Tahani Almahmood Nick Button-Brown Nick Poole OBE Vince Farquharson Nainan Shah Jonathan Bunney Märt Lume Islée Oliva Salinas Olga Balakleets Simona BarbieriReedah N. El-Saie shared thisYassaman Haj Mohammad Ali - What an incredible time I had at Phillips Auction House - Thank you! Reedah N. El-Saie and I really enjoyed the private view of Modern & Contemporary Art, which was especially inspiring as I was finally able to see pieces I had only ever studied in theory. Seeing Shahzia Sikander's beautiful meshing of traditional manuscript painting and more abstract styles in person, was particularly exciting as she was a strong inspiration for my Art IGCSE art portfolio. Seeing her piece 'Sub blues' was surreal along with the bold techniques of M.F. Husain and many others. The strength and momentum of South Asian art was palpable and intensified my passion and desire to explore my own heritage further. The excitement didn't stop at South Asian art. Following the recent tremendous loss of David Hockney, his piece 'The Only One with Waves' sold for a staggering £1.9M in auction. I witnessed the sale of two of Yayoi Kusama’s works, which was breathtaking since I am particularly drawn to the entrancing beauty of 'Infinity nets'. The auction itself was an invigorating experience. The constant engagement between the dynamic auctioneers and the clients on the phones was like watching a ping pong match. It was insightful to see the dynamics of the art world come into play and how they determine the value of something as subjective as art in such a visceral and high stakes manner. The wonder of the Art market was introduced to me in such a vivid way, having clients from Hong Kong to New York to Milan and Modern & Contemporary art from all over the world. Overall, this was one of the most fascinating experiences I have had to the thrilling art world, one that has inspired me to create a body of work centred around my South Asian & Middle Eastern heritage and explore career options in auctions houses or art. I would welcome any advice and internships available! Reedah N. El-Saie shared thisThis is what great interns look like (but I may be a little biased!) #internship week at BrainsparkGames - Thankyou Lucas Bullen of Halliford School and Iman El-Saie from Francis Holland School - Sloane Square St Paul's Girls' School for being so professional and dedicated - you absolutely smashed it! We normally decline internships unless we can offer supervised experience and enhanced skills and knowledge. So this time we provided an outline of mutual expectations from the world of work at #Brainsparkgames 1. Turn up and be positive 2. Punctuality & time keeping 3. Openess to learning 4. Seize every opportunity to grow 5. Managing your diary 6. Learn how to use Slack for comms and Atlassian for project management 7. Playtesting for Product development 8. Feedback for devs 9. Embrace and navigate AI 10. Market Research 11. Develop PR & Marketing ideas 12. Communicate & present thoughts Lucas and Iman did all the above and so much more! Spending time with young minds, with bright ideas created a really interesting shift within the team and generated lots of exciting new ideas which were brilliantly presented by Lucas Bullen, who managed a diverse team, called a pre-meeting, set a clear agenda, delivered an engaging and witty presentation and most astonishingly managed his meetings so meticulously that we always finished early! Lots of learnings for me! The detailed feedback and games design ideas presented by both interns are being incorporated into #artspark! Several interns were offered an internship but only 2 turned up and I think we learned more from them then they did for us! We’d definitely love to have you back! Reedah N. El-Saie shared thisNicole Goodwin Sophie Catto Danielle Crofts Katie Trice Thank you for inviting me to speak at the AllBright everywoman 'Entrepreneurs Growth Forum' — I left feeling genuinely inspired having spent the day with a like minded tribe of women! I enjoyed speaking on the 'Funding Your Next Big Scale-Up' panel led by @alice ollins, alongside #legends Whitney Hawkings (FLOWERBX) who has raised a staggering $30m+ and Shira Jeczmien (SCREENSHOT Media) — two women who have built extraordinary businesses It was such an interesting discussion on different funding journeys. I talked about bootstrapping, winning 8 Innovate UK grants, raising angel investment and slaying 3 Dragons on BBC's #dragonsden Sara Davies MBE Deborah Meaden Touker Suleyman and how we have to transition to become different types of founders along the way. We talked about VC expectations, angel investors, grant funding, setting boundaries, managing expectations and the truth about which path is actually right for your stage. It's so important to embrace the challenges we will all inevitably face and just be better, stronger, more innovative, always remaining positive with a 'can do!' mindset! The day was packed: Victoria Prew 🔊 (HURR) opened with a masterclass in disruption — building the "Airbnb for fashion," securing $10M+ in VC and 130+ brand partnerships. The lesson? You don't wait for the industry to be ready. You build anyway. Karen Ward from J.P. Morgan Asset Management gave us a sharp macroeconomic read — trade, employment, geopolitics. As founders we can't afford to build in a bubble. The data shapes our risk. Vinita Rathi (Systango) and Rafie Faruq (GenieAi) led a brilliant AI case lab. Real use cases. Real cost savings. Real growth. AI is not the future — it's now, and founders who aren't integrating it are already behind. Not to mention the savings on legal costs! Megan Possamai from Canva ran a hands-on presentation masterclass. Storytelling is strategy. Dr Mahrukh Khwaja (BDS MAPP) (Mind AI Ninja) and Tutu Emmanuel (Prime Violet Events) closed out the wellbeing panel. I cant emphasise enough the need to protect founder wellbeing ansd avoid burn out! Kirsty Lloyd-Jukes (Stateful Robotics) brought it all together with a whiteboarding session that forced the audience to turn insight into action. No fluff. Just execution. One of the most special personal moments for me was having my daughter Iman El-Saie and her friend Hissah, who have just finished GCSEs, in the audience. They are at the beginning of their journeys, exploring the future, skills, work experience. They too came away energised and inspired by the next generation of female founders thinking about the possibilities of becoming founders themselves! Women — diverse, brilliant, relentless - building things that matter, on their own terms! Reedah N. El-Saie reposted this*Please read and act on this one if you can!* The BBC Charter Review closes next Tuesday. It is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to situate video games and interactive entertainment at the heart of the UK's leading public service broadcaster, but the response so far from the games industry is very low. We have provided a short 6-step guide to help you respond (see the comments on the post below). Please do share this post as far as you can for reach! Nick Button-Brown, Alison Lacy, Reedah N. El-Saie, Paul Durrant OBE, Dominic Murphy, María Sayans, Kirsty Rigden, David Gould, Bhavina J., Daniel Dyball, Christopher Garratty, Katherine Bidwell, Anna Kozlova, Claire S., Harvey Elliott, James Brooksby, Stuart Dinsey, UkieReedah N. El-Saie reposted thisCalling UK video games businesses! Please submit a response to the BBC Charter Review before midday, Tuesday 10 March. Originally founded in 1922 with its mission to inform, educate and entertain, the BBC remains one of the world’s best-known public service broadcasters. The Government is now consulting on changes to the BBC’s Charter to reflect the challenges and opportunities of a digital world. The 2026 Charter Review is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to ensure video games and interactivity are recognised as part of the UK’s cultural and creative landscape. We are encouraging games businesses and industry professionals to submit a response to the consultation. The number of responses from our sector matters. The more the games industry shows up in this process, the stronger the case for building a long-term relationship with the BBC around interactive storytelling, digital skills and cultural participation. We have prepared a simple step-by-step guide to responding. You can find it in the comments below. 👇 If you do submit a response before the deadline, we would love to hear from you. Please email nick@ukie.org.uk to let us know. #Supercharged #BBCCharterReview

They go with our HUGE thanks. We talked together over lunch earlier this month about favourite times at our firm: Debbie and I agreed those years in Transaction Services were special (I was in awe of Debbie - we all did what she said at all times); Lorraine enjoyed travelling the world as EA to our Senior Partners, and Gill, who has been covering the senior EA team's holidays as our senior support lead for many years, loved the variety. The knowledge held by these colleagues is immense and we will miss them! Future plans: travel, gardening, not doing timesheets! Thank you, you have been at the heart of our firm. Great to hear more about this recent ArtTactic report at our December Acceptance in Lieu & Cultural Gift Scheme board meeting with Arts Council. ‘According to a collector survey conducted by ArtTactic and Deloitte in 2025, 5% of collectors over the age of 45 with an estate plan for their art collection indicated that it would primarily be offered to a museum’- ArtTactic This means that just under £300 million worth of art could be donated to museums in years to come. You can see the Arts Council response here (https://lnkd.in/eiQvNRbi ) but one of the main things they highlight is that: ‘Museums and galleries can develop new tactics for working with a new generation of cultural donors, as Beacon Collaborative’s NextGen donor research sets out. There is huge potential here for museums and galleries via the Cultural Gifts Scheme and Acceptance in Lieu. Younger philanthropists are more impact-driven, digital-first, and committed to diversity and social value. The opportunities this creates for collecting institutions is a clear area for development work which Arts Council England and its partners can support’. Here’s to creative thinking and collaboration, and working with a new generation of collectors, curators & heritage partners across the UK.

Sometimes you have to go with your gut despite the naysayers and make, what at the time felt like brave decisions. This report confirms what we knew... Great to see our investment in TBY2 paying off! Production spending almost tripled (up to £22.8m), employment impact tripled (now 174 FTE jobs), GVA tripled to £15.3m and rated as the "world's most sustainable studio"!
