On phones the company doesn't manage, IT has little say. 👉 BYOD used to be about which apps employees install. Now it is also about what the phone's own assistant can read. Work that runs in a governed workspace is streamed, not stored, so it isn't sitting in those apps to begin with. Which of your work data lives where an assistant can search it today? Regulators now punish BYOD programs from both directions. 🔓 Too little control: in August, a US appeals court restated that firms must preserve employees' business communications on personal devices. FINRA examiners are still checking. 🔒 Too much control: Spain's data protection authority fined a company EUR 200,000 for making staff install intrusive apps on their own phones. What mattered was what the apps could reach, not what the company actually used. Most mobile programs are built to avoid one risk and walk straight into the other. The way out is to move the line. Govern the work, leave the phone alone: work in its own governed workspace, records kept inside the enterprise, no visibility into the personal side. Gartner's advice: stop training people to spot the fake. Make verification the standard for any request that matters. That sends security teams back to one device: the phone. Last week I spoke at the DataQueens meetup, hosted at PAPAYA , about a system I designed and built: a shared AI context layer for analytics. "The Brain". I loved the question "why not just put it all into skills?" It made me challenge the core of my design: instructions tell the AI how to work, but findings are evidence with a date. They expire. Treating them differently is the whole trick. And I learned that every team in the room faces the same problem. The answer is different. The pain isn't. Thank you, #DataQueens, for the stage. Shai Hadad אהבתי את זהShai Hadad אהבתי את זהאיך זה להרצות מול 100 אנשים עם פחד קהל? אני לא יודעת מתי בדיוק הבנתי שיש לי פחד קהל. פשוט תמיד ידעתי שהוא שם. מה שכן, אף פעם לא נתתי לו לנהל אותי. כאנליסטית, אני הרבה פעמים נדרשת להציג את התוצרים שלי בפני קהל, ולא פעם אפילו יוזמת את ההזדמנויות האלה בעצמי. זה יכול להיות מול המנהל שלי, הצוות, כל הסטודיו או מחלקת האנליסטים. וכל פעם מחדש, לפני שאני מציגה, אני מתרגשת. ובכל פעם מחדש, אני יודעת שאני חייבת לעצמי לעשות את זה בכל זאת. אבל אני מודה שכש-Tali Fulman הציעה לי להציג בכנס שהיא יוזמת יחד עם Data Queens את הפרויקט שבניתי כדי לעזור לכלי ה-AI שלנו להבין את ההקשר העסקי שמאחורי הנתונים - קפאתי. אמרתי לה שאני צריכה לישון על זה 😅 למחרת, בהפסקת קפה עם חבר מהמחלקה, הוא סיפר לי משהו שעזר לי להחליט. הוא שאל אותי אם אני מכירה את הסיפור על האביר והאוצר. אם האביר פשוט מוצא את האוצר - זה לא סיפור מעניין במיוחד. אבל אם בדרך הוא צריך להילחם בדרקון, להתגבר עליו ורק אז להגיע לאוצר? פתאום יש סיפור. אז החלטתי להיות אמיצה וללכת להילחם בדרקון שלי 🐉 ואתמול, הדרקון שלי היה לעמוד על במה מול 100 אנשים. והאוצר? הוא היה הרבה יותר שווה דווקא בגלל הדרך אליו. בהרצאה שיתפתי איך לקחתי את כלי ה-AI שלנו צעד קדימה, ובניתי סטנדרט שמאפשר להעשיר אותם בידע העסקי שנצבר אצלנו כאנליסטים. הסטנדרט מאפשר להרחיב את הידע במהירות לכל פיצ’ר חדש במשחקים שלנו, כך שה-AI יוכל לסייע לנו גם במשימות אנליטיות מורכבות. אז איך מרצים מול 100 אנשים כשיש פחד קהל? כנראה שלא מחכים שהפחד ייעלם. פשוט מחליטים לעשות את זה בכל זאת. כמו באימון - לפעמים החלק הכי קשה הוא פשוט לשים בגדי אימון. תודה ענקית Tali Fulman Nicole Ginosar (Herszkowicz) Adaya Tal על ההזדמנות ועל זה שאתן תמיד מצליחות להביא לכנסים של Data Queens נושאים כל כך מעניינים ורלוונטיים לנו, האנליסטים - גם כשאני בקהל וגם כשהפעם הייתי על הבמה ❤️
