New project

Example

Upload a before and an after photo, or only the before, and get a 5 or 10 second video of the room changing, with a morph, light sweep or other effect.

How the before and after video maker works

  1. Add the before and the after. Upload both photos, or pick a result you made here with "Choose a before & after from my creations"; its original photo becomes the before. No after yet? Upload only the before and pick a room and style. The tool designs the after first, then makes the video.
  2. Pick an effect (magic morph, unboxing, drop in, light sweep or tidy up) and a length of 5 or 10 seconds. Or choose Custom and describe the transition yourself.
  3. Generate, then download the clip. Videos take longer than images, so you can keep working while it renders.
Try it on your photo

The tool asks for a locked-off shot with no camera movement or zoom, the same walls, windows, floor, ceiling, perspective and daylight throughout, and a clip that starts on the before and ends on the after. That is what the tool asks for, not something every clip delivers. Watch each clip before you post it. If the room warps or the clip does not land on the after, generate again.

Before and after video effects

  • Magic morph: sparkles and soft particles drift through the room, and the old furniture and colors dissolve and re-form as the new design.
  • Unboxing: a large box drops into the room, opens, and the new furniture comes out piece by piece and settles into place.
  • Drop in: the new pieces drop in one at a time from above and land softly, while the old ones vanish.
  • Light sweep: a band of light sweeps across the frame, and everything it passes over becomes the new design.
  • Tidy up: clutter flies into place or vanishes until the room matches the after.
  • Custom: describe your own transition, like "the old furniture melts into the floor and the new pieces grow out of it like plants". The tool still asks for the same room and perspective and no text.

A before and after video from one photo

You do not need a finished renovation to make one. Upload the before photo, leave the after empty, and pick a room type and style. The tool first designs the after with Interior Design, then turns the pair into a video. The after image is charged on its own, and its cost is shown before you generate.

For more control, design the after yourself first with Interior Design, Remodel, Virtual Staging or Room Cleaner, then pick that result here. Its original photo is used as the before automatically.

Length, quality and cost

  • Length: 5 or 10 seconds. 5 seconds suits a quick reveal; 10 seconds gives a slower effect like unboxing more time.
  • Quality: Lite renders in 720p and uses fewer credits; Max renders in 1080p.
  • Cost: video is charged per second, so a 10-second clip costs twice a 5-second one at the same quality. New accounts get free credits to start, no card required; current costs are on the pricing page.
  • Refunds: if a generation fails, its credits are refunded.

Who makes before and after videos

  • Designers and stagers: show a client the change in a few seconds.
  • Agents: show what an empty or dated listing could become, labeled as a concept.
  • Contractors and renovators: share real before and after photos as a short clip.
  • Homeowners and creators: post a room makeover on Reels, TikTok or Shorts.

Tips for a smooth transformation video

  • Use a before and an after taken from the same spot. The tool keeps the frame fixed, so a mismatched pair is harder to blend.
  • Pick results made here when you can. They share the original photo's framing.
  • Match the effect to the change: unboxing and drop in suit new furniture; tidy up suits decluttering; morph and light sweep suit a full restyle.
  • Test the effect on Lite, then render the one you post on Max.

Posting a before and after video

  • Lead with the change: short clips work best when the reveal comes early, so 5 seconds is often enough.
  • Say what was done: "virtually staged", "AI redesign concept" or "real renovation". Viewers and listing rules expect it.
  • Add the rest in your editor: music, captions, your logo and a call to action.
  • You own what you create, as set out in our terms, so you can post it on your own channels and listings.

What a before and after video can't do

  • Move the camera: the shot is locked off. For camera moves, use AI Real Estate Video.
  • Fix a mismatched pair: photos taken from different spots may not blend cleanly.
  • Add music, captions or branding: do that in your video editor.
  • Stand in for the real thing: if the after is AI-made, say so when you post it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need both a before and an after photo?

No. Upload only the before photo and pick a room and style: we design the after first, then make the video. If you already have both, upload both.

Which transition effects are there?

Magic morph, unboxing, drop-in, light sweep and tidy-up, or describe your own transition.

Where can I post the video?

Anywhere: Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts or a listing. You own what you create.

Can I use photos from a real renovation?

Yes. Upload your own before and after. Taken from the same spot and in similar light, they blend best.

Do the before and after have to be taken from the same spot?

It works best when they are. Results made here already share the original photo's framing, so they make the smoothest videos.

Can I move the camera in a before and after video?

No. The shot is locked off so the change is easy to follow. For camera moves, use AI Real Estate Video.

What does it cost when the tool designs the after for me?

The after is charged as one image, on top of the video. The total is shown before you generate; current costs are on the pricing page.
