Install & connect in 3 steps
- 1
Create a Foxwire API key
Sign up and create a key. Copy the whole key (starts with sk-corr-) — you will paste it in step 3.
- 2
Install OpenClaw
Recommended — the official installer provisions the right Node.js for you:
bashcurl -fsSL https://openclaw.ai/install | bashWorks on macOS, Linux and Windows; installs a supported Node.js if needed.
After installing, open a NEW terminal window — otherwise you may see “command not found”. - 3
Drop the config and start
No manual file creation: edit the first line (your key), paste the whole block into the terminal — it writes ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json for you.
You only edit ONE thing: in the first line, replace sk-corr-... with your key from step 1 (keep the quotes).bashSOZDAI_KEY="sk-corr-..." if [ "$SOZDAI_KEY" = "sk-corr-..." ]; then echo "STOP: replace sk-corr-... with your real key first"; else mkdir -p ~/.openclaw && cat > ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json << EOF { "models": { "mode": "merge", "providers": { "sozdai": { "baseUrl": "https://api.foxwire.ai/v1", "apiKey": "$SOZDAI_KEY", "api": "openai-completions", "models": [ { "id": "deepseek-v4-flash", "name": "DeepSeek V4 Flash", "contextWindow": 1000000 }, { "id": "kimi-k2.6", "name": "Kimi K2.6", "contextWindow": 262144 }, { "id": "claude-sonnet-5", "name": "Claude Sonnet 5", "contextWindow": 1000000 } ] } } }, "agents": { "defaults": { "model": { "primary": "sozdai/deepseek-v4-flash" } } } } EOF echo "openclaw.json created"; fiThen run onboarding (installs it as a background service) and check it's up:
bashopenclaw onboard --install-daemon openclaw gateway status

No — one Foxwire account and API key cover every model.
Yes — top up your balance and pay per token, no subscription.
Start with DeepSeek V4 Flash — fast and cheap for always-on chats. Switch to Claude Sonnet 5 when you want higher-quality replies.
Open ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json and check the apiKey line has your real key (starts with sk-corr-), not the placeholder. Use exact model ids from the table above.
Prefer a terminal coding agent? Same key powers OpenCode / Claude Code / Codex
