  • You can now run ads on ChatGPT. And Google just introduced something that could change how we measure SEO visibility. If you're a business owner, marketer, content creator, or SEO specialist, pay attention to these two developments. I recently received an email about advertising on ChatGPT, seeing the update live got me thinking...🤔 Remember when Google was primarily a place to search for information? Over time, Google Ads transformed that experience, allowing businesses to reach people actively searching for products and services. Now, we're witnessing another chapter unfold with AI...👌🏾 People use ChatGPT to research products, compare options, explore solutions, and make buying decisions. Advertising creates another opportunity for businesses to reach relevant audiences during these journeys. But Google has another interesting update. Google Search Console now offers reporting for multimodal search performance...😱 Sounds technical? Let me simplify it. Traditionally, we think of search as typing keywords into Google. For example, someone searching for "office interior design company in Lagos." But what if someone sees a beautiful office reception, takes a screenshot, uploads the image to Google Lens, and searches for similar designs? 😬 That's visual search in action. Multimodal search goes beyond text, allowing people to search using images and other forms of input. Google's new Search Console reporting helps website owners understand how their content performs in supported multimodal web searches. Here's why this matters: Imagine you own an interior design company. Someone sees a beautiful office online, takes a screenshot, and searches Google for similar designs. If your website appears in those results, multimodal reporting can help you understand that visibility. This means SEO isn't just about asking, "Which keywords are bringing people to my website?" We're also asking, "How are people discovering my content?" We're entering a search environment where: 📌 People discover businesses through AI conversations. 📌 Brands can advertise on ChatGPT. 📌 Images can become starting points for Google searches. 📌 SEO specialists can measure visibility beyond traditional text searches. But let's be clear. ChatGPT Ads are paid visibility, not a shortcut to organic AI recommendations. Multimodal search doesn't make traditional SEO irrelevant either. It means our strategies must evolve alongside how people search. My takeaway as an SEO specialist? The future of search isn't just about ranking for what people type. It's about being discoverable through the different ways people search, explore, and make decisions. Now, I'm curious. If you owned a business today, which would you prioritize first? 📍 A. Organic visibility across Google and AI search. 📍 B. Paid advertising on platforms like ChatGPT. 📍 C. Both, with a clear strategy. Tell me why in the comments...👇🏾 #SEO #AISearch #DigitalMarketing

Having grown up on a family farm in Zambia. Patricia M Longwani, 27, knows how essential fertilizer is for small scale farmers working on land with poor soil. She also knows how costly commercial fertilizer can be, and DIY attempts often have environmental impacts that are, well, pretty crappy. Patricia designed a smart composting system that could help rural communities turn organic waste into nutrient-rich fertilizer more efficiently. Her solar-powered prototype uses sensors to monitor moisture and temperature levels, providing users with simple visual cues through LED indicators and mobile phone alerts. She used ChatGPT to streamline research technical concepts, refine system designs, generate diagrams, and troubleshoot programming bugs without having the funds to hire an IT person. Chat also helped her develop adaptive code that enables the compost bin to learn from environmental data and automatically optimize composting conditions. By making compost management easier and more reliable, the system helps farmers produce high-quality compost faster, even in areas without access to electricity. Patricia’s project launched at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Brazil in November 2025, and won  the overall prize at the inaugural UNESCO Africa Week Youth Forum Pitch Competition in May 2026. With some more time and development, Patricia’s bins might one day become every farmer’s “smart” secret for success.

Running a restaurant is a 24/7 commitment. And apparently finding catering clients is just as time-consuming. Nick Baumann visited Richard at Northern Dumpling Kitchen in Toronto to put ChatGPT to work on a catering deck and automated outreach. It didn't get an apron. Wish something existed? Drop your idea below and we might come build it with you next.

Three time zones. One carry-on. And yes, the laptop, iPad, two phones are all coming (and my Duke University mum's sweatshirt for the parent weekend on the road home). This morning I gave ChatGPT my packing brain dump: meetings, evening events, workouts, weather checking, and the things I really don’t want to forget. It turned that into outfits by day and a packing checklist. Then I asked for a printable checklist version with a daily agenda and some optionality for the Irish rain. A small example of something much bigger: the format of an answer matters almost as much as the answer itself. That’s what excites me about Intelligent UI in GPT-6. ChatGPT can choose when text, visuals or an interactive tool will be most useful. For packing, imagine seeing how a few pieces work together, then adjusting the plan as your week changes. For work, it might mean setting up a site that can quickly demo to politicians, ceos, and students the power of intelligence at your fingertips in the life of a CFO. Sorytelling so much more powerful than telling! The more naturally AI fits the task, the easier it becomes to put it to work. Try giving it a real problem, including the messy constraints. Mine happens to involve fitting a week’s worth of life into an overhead bin. 😊 https://lnkd.in/e5KkXBK2
