Hi Upwork Team ,My Upwork account was permanently suspended due to a location mismatch. I submitted all required German documents and my case was escalated to a specialist team over 6 weeks ago — still no response despite multiple follow-ups. Please help resolve this. 🙏
Hi Upwork Team, I need help opening a support ticket for account verification. The AI chatbot on the help center is stuck in a loop and won't let me talk to an agent or open a ticket. My passport is expired and I need to submit my official Palestinian National ID for manual review. Could someone from the support team please contact me or open a ticket for my account? My account email is: flkrhmy@gmail.com
AI can never replace the human touch, anytime you interact with an AI Chatbot you can always tell the difference. It's human nature to desire human to human contact. Let's say you have an account issue that the Chatbot can't resolve and you go around and around arguing with the Chatbot and it keeps telling you to check the Account Health page. Just think if the company has no phone number, no email, no means whatsoever to reach a human being. The AI Chatbot just keeps repeating if support needs any information they will reach out. The company won't even let you submit a support ticket unless your account qualifies. Imagine a customer that waits for 2 weeks waiting for support to reach out and never reaches out. It will frustrate your customer to no end when they have an issue that can't be resolved only to have the support Chatbot keep running you in circles. It may save costs in the short run, but it will cost the company later in lost customers and unsatisfactory customer service. We need to bring back at least the option for a customer to reach a human being if they need help. Any companies come to mind that might sound like this ? Instead of AI hiring how about companies hiring back human beings that can truly help.
Upwork AI hiring is definitely moving from broad interest to specific roles and outcomes. The rise of AI UGC is especially interesting—it shows how quickly businesses are adapting their hiring needs around practical AI applications. 🚀
Upwork has become way too costly. The fees are also getting higher, while the cost of sending proposals keeps increasing. You can spend a significant amount just applying for jobs, and then there’s no guarantee the client will even hire you. For many freelancers, it’s becoming expensive to compete when clients aren’t offering enough to justify the bidding costs. It feels like freelancers are paying more just to get a chance to be seen. Hopefully, Upwork finds a better balance between protecting the platform and keeping it affordable for freelancers. #Everyone
Role based AI hiring signals a shift from experimenting with tools to hiring for specific outcomes and measurable business impact.
Role-based demand is a useful shift because AI work tends to stall when ownership is vague. With AI UGC, the hire should be tied to the distribution and measurement loop as well as production: creative output only matters when it can be tested against qualified traffic, conversion rate, and downstream revenue. That distinction should make the hiring data more actionable.
Upwork is something different, you changed your policies for self growth
Clear proof that AI hiring is maturing! Companies know exactly what tools and specialists they need now. Excited to see how these trends shape the rest of the year!
#upwork I’d like to understand the exchange-rate difference on Upwork. When purchasing Connects, the USD-to-INR conversion is around ₹100/USD, but when withdrawing earnings, the conversion rate is around ₹93/USD. Why is there such a significant difference between the two rates? Could you please clarify how these conversion rates are determined and why the same account is charged at a higher rate for purchases but paid at a lower rate for withdrawals?
