Not yet — but they are empowering revenue teams and driving real business results in the process. My latest feature for CIO Online looks at how AI agents are assisting sales workflows. The CIOs I interviewed are actively deploying AI agents within their internal sales teams, and they shared some really impressive early quantitative results: - Nearly 95% faster seller prep time (ServiceNow) - 16% better attainment using an internal GPT, 300%+ more callbacks (Samsara) - Time savings equivalent to 3 full-time sales employees (Akamai) - $2.7 million in new sales opportunities, up to 20% faster pipeline movement (Workato) - 1,700 hours saved in manual admin work (OutSystems) Agentic AI in this area seems like low-hanging fruit for many sales workflows, from customer research and prospecting, to follow-up, inbound lead validation, custom deck creation, go-to-market planning, and more. That said, it'll take real guardrails: clearly defined agent roles, strong data foundations, tight authorization controls, and extra caution around multi-agent architectures. Stephen Franchetti reposted thisStephen Franchetti reposted thisI expected token maxxing and vibe coding to come up at our recent roundtable dinner with CIO's and journalists. What I didn't expect was the applications of gen AI in beekeeping. In all seriousness, the conversation kept circling back to excitement about what AI can unlock, paired with a healthy insistence on judgment, accountability, and trust. A few themes kept surfacing. Top-down mandates rarely create real adoption on their own. Instead, the lift comes from enablement, internal champions, and giving teams room to experiment responsibly. The most compelling signals aren't necessarily token consumption; they're business outcomes: better sales attainment, faster support resolution, stronger workflows, and more capacity for higher-value work. We all agreed that this is not just a technology transformation. It's a people, culture, and change-management transformation. The organizations making the most progress are treating AI adoption as an operating model shift with clearer accountability, better guardrails, and more intentional support for how work actually gets done. This has been an incredible multidisciplinary effort across Mechanical, Aerospace, and Electrical Engineering, and I’m proud of what our team has accomplished. Come check it out and support us! Friday was my last day at Samsara, and I'm deeply grateful to Sanjit Biswas, John Bicket, the senior leadership team, and the entire Samsara family for this incredible chapter of my career. I had the privilege of working with an extraordinary People team. Together we drove global expansion, built high-performing teams, and shaped a culture that has powered Samsara's remarkable growth. I couldn't be more proud of what we built. Special thanks to Melanie Dazzo, Lei Pan, Cole Lipovac, Jesper Helt, Patty Gorospe, Kassandra Buckle, Amy Krowchun, and Chelsea King. Building with you was the best part. I’ll share more on my next chapter. For now, I'm excited to be present for my family and my community.

Stephen Franchetti liked thisSurreal to see this in TechCrunch. I demoed this idea at Hacksara, Samsara's internal hackathon, and we won. The concept: use the sensors and cameras already present in millions of commercial trucks to detect potholes and track how fast they deteriorate. I've been heads-down turning that hackathon pitch into a real product, building the system from the ground up, training the ML model, and using telematics and computer vision to go from detecting a bump in the road to understanding what kind of damage is there and how quickly it's getting worse. I've been in the customer calls, and even last week went onsite with one of our customers to repair some actual roads. I have now spent more time thinking about potholes than any person reasonably should. None of this gets out the door without some seriously talented people who have put an incredible amount of work into this.
