Jordan Silbert shared thisYowee!!! HEB is now carrying 4 different flavors of AGRO POWER Sticks in their great stores! I've been doing this for a while now. And there is a relatively small collection of retailers who others look to in order to identify which new brands are "real" and worth trying. So this is a big one that we're really excited about. And if you're in Texas, please stop by a store and pick up a multipack bag. We'd appreciate all the help we can get!

Jordan Silbert shared thisAGRO POWER Sticks just became the #1 meatless jerky on Amazon, just 10 months after launch! Tomorrow's another day, but pretty exciting and feels like our focus on performance, protein and convenience (vs veganism) is working!! (and if you haven't tried 'em, we just launched a variety pack available at www.Amazon.com/AGRO)

Jordan Silbert shared this20 years ago this week, I started Q Mixers. All I had was an idea (that there should be a tonic water as good as my favorite gins), lots of energy, $35K, and apartment for 6 months. Today Q Mixers is not only still in business but it’s America’s leading premium mixer brand, having sold almost a billion(!) bottles and cans at retailers and bars around the world over the years. Kinda crazy. I have lots of thoughts about the whole experience, but the biggest one is appreciation. For everyone who believed in me and helped Q become what it is. Ben, employees, investors, partners, advisors, and customers: thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Cheers!

Jordan Silbert shared thisWow! Another great Expo West in the books! We’re starting back at the beginning with AGRO, trying to do things even smarter this time around than with Q. And it was so energizing catching up with old friends and introducing so many new people to our brand new AGRO POWER Sticks, America’s first high-protein meatless sticks. A couple of big wins have come out of the show already and hopefully more to come!!! Thanks for a great show all!

Jordan Silbert liked thisJordan Silbert liked thisI think it’s time to bring back the word “customer.” Since the 2010s when I was building Protein Bar, there has been a movement in hospitality to stop saying “customers” and start saying “guests.” It was almost a credential. Slip “guest” into a conversation and you were signaling that you understood hospitality. “Customer” sounded a little too transactional. I embraced it too. And I get the intent: make people feel welcome, treat them with care, give them a reason to feel at home. But I think there’s something worth preserving in that transaction. A guest doesn’t necessarily pay you. A customer does. That person had other places to spend their money. They chose yours. And with that choice comes a reasonable expectation that you’ll deliver something worth paying for. Yet some consumer businesses seem to have an almost adversarial relationship with the people funding them. Make someone jump through hoops to fix a mistake the business made. Cut service so a simple purchase becomes a chore. Build policies around the company’s convenience, then ask the customer to be “understanding.” At some point, you have to wonder: do we actually like these people? Or do we just like their money? Calling someone a guest doesn’t make those decisions hospitable. I want people to feel welcomed and cared for. But I also want everyone in the business—including me—to remember that they’re paying for what we provide. Their expectations are part of the deal. “Customer” is a perfectly good word. There’s an obligation in it. And I like being reminded that we have to earn their business. So let’s bring back “customer.” It’ll be so fetch! Lol 📷 me as a Starbucks customer. Competitive research!
