Last year, our team came together in Uruguay and it was a reminder of what makes remote work actually work. After winning a departmental competition, teammates traveled from #Romania, the #Netherlands, #Canada, #SouthAfrica, and #Uruguay to spend time working side by side. Beyond the activities, what mattered most was the connection. Sharing space deepened trust, strengthened collaboration, and reminded us that while work can happen anywhere, relationships are built together. Different countries. One team. 🌍

  • Hiring in Canada isn’t just payroll and vacations. It’s provincial labor laws, bi-weekly pay rhythms, public holiday counts, language nuances, and benefits expectations that vary across the country. Most companies learn this too late. That’s why we put together a practical guide to hiring in Canada. It’s the resource teams wish they had before their first Canadian hire. If Canada is part of your 2026 talent plan, this helps you get it right. Link’s in the comments 👇

Your 2026 strategy won’t succeed without ready managers. As organizations push ambitious plans into the new year, many are still overlooking the single biggest execution risk: manager readiness. Expectations are rising, work is more complex, and managers are being asked to lead without the skills or context they need. 📅 February 23, 2026 ⏰ 11:00AM ET / 8:00AM PT / 4:00PM GMT Join Gemma Taylor (Senior Learning Manager, Oyster) and Brendon Nimphius (Facilitation Manager, LifeLabs Learning) as they unpack what manager readiness really means for 2026—and how to strengthen it before the year slips into autopilot. You’ll learn how to: • Build critical Tipping Point Skills™️ like coaching, delegation, and feedback • Prepare managers for the realities of hiring beyond borders and leading distributed teams

The thing I’m most proud of at Oyster® isn’t the valuation. I’m proud that we proved something quietly radical: That you can build a high-performance, global company, without fear, without borders, and without burning people out. We showed that distributed teams can outperform. That empathy and ambition aren’t opposites. That business can scale and stay human. Most of all, I’m proud of the people, the Pearls, who trusted a bold idea and turned it into a living system that creates opportunity around the world. That culture is Oyster’s real moat. And protecting it matters more than any metric. Our mission has always been personal. To build a world where opportunity isn’t tied to geography. That’s why it matters that Hadi Moussa is stepping into the CEO role. He shares this mission, and the lived experience behind it. Like me, he left Lebanon in search of opportunity beyond borders. Now, he brings that perspective to lead Oyster’s next chapter. One rooted in growth, inclusion, and global impact. #Hiring across borders isn’t just about salary, it’s about understanding the real cost of employment in each country. With Oyster’s #CostCalculator, as Mohannad Aljawamis shows, you can see that full picture before making an offer, so you can hire confidently, compliantly, and without surprises later on. How much do you think your next global hire might really cost? 🌍 #oysterhr #globalteams #taxes #compliance
