Keep Halloween fun and fire safe for you your little ghouls and goblins! Choose flame-resistant costumes, keep capes and loose fabrics away from open flames, and opt for battery operated candles instead of real flames.

While temperatures have dropped and we’re enjoying the changing weather, the risk of fire remains, and the burn ban is still in effect. Continued dry conditions and strong winds can cause even a small outdoor fire to spread quickly, putting nearby homes, property, and communities at risk. Please do your part to help keep our community safe. Stay vigilant, follow all burn ban restrictions, and avoid activities that could spark a fire.

Learning about fire safety can be fun! Inspector Huber enjoyed talking with the kids about knowing two ways out, having an escape plan, and how building inspections help keep everyone safe.
