This month, we’re taking you to the beach…well, sort of. It’s been just over half a year since our partners at Nature Seychelles and Coral Spawning International installed the very first land-based coral spawning facility in Africa and the Western Indian Ocean. Since then, they’ve been using Canon technology to monitor and measure the newly spawned baby coral and tell the stories of the incredible work they are doing. So, as the sun beats down and we’re all dreaming of sandy shores, let’s head to Seychelles and see what lies beneath the ocean – and meet all the people on land who have dedicated their lives to protecting it. ⬇️

This summer, as a senior fellow, she hosted a workshop to teach the new fellows the basics of color grading for underwater videography! While capturing color above water is simple, accurately depicting color at depth can be difficult, making color grading an essential skill for anyone sharing the underwater world with an audience above it.
