What does it take to help a community rebuild after disaster? For Alex Athenson, AIA, and Cynthia Sigler, AIA, co-founders of The Foothill Catalog Foundation, the answer became deeply personal when they were evacuated during the 2025 Eaton Fire. Although their home survived, many of their friends and neighbors lost everything. That experience sparked a bold idea: to create a catalog of pre-approved, fire-resilient home designs to help #Altadena families rebuild faster. Today, that vision is taking shape. Families are exploring #XR designs before construction begins, while architects, builders, nonprofits, and technology partners are collaborating to accelerate recovery. At Autodesk, we're proud to support this effort not only for its impact on Altadena but also because it offers a blueprint for how communities around the world can recover from future disasters. In our latest article, we share what we learned during a recent site visit and explain why this model could have implications far beyond Los Angeles. Read the full story: https://bit.ly/4vo6JWX.

Katie Egolf has long believed that outdoor spaces should help people reconnect with nature. As a landscape architect and designer, she channels her passion for the outdoors into thoughtful public and private spaces grounded in regenerative gardening and sustainability. At KTE Studio, Katie designs with as much attention to what happens beneath the surface as to what people experience above it. She values the freedom to pursue projects that align with her creative vision and her commitment to building healthier ecosystems. As a solopreneur, Katie relies on #AutoCAD throughout the design process to produce clean drawings, detailed construction documents, and accurate plans. Flexibility and efficiency are essential, and #AutoCAD helps her balance technical precision with creative exploration.
