Resize Policy

In line with GS Diamond’s commitment to total customer satisfaction, we offer one complimentary resizing service for rings for our clients within Australia.

What is the policy? 

Each ring is covered under it’s own individual policy under the following parameters:

  • Available for 5 years from the date of purchase
  • Free resizing includes up to 2 finger sizes up or down only
  • Additional sizes will incur a fee of $90 per size. This fee applies to both half and full sizes.
  • Additional sizes above or below 3 will need to be confirmed by our Master Jeweller to ensure that ring and claws will maintain structure and stability. Please reach out to your Sales Consultant for further information
  • Standard resize process will take approximately 2-3 weeks.
  • For resize on Ready To Ship Rings please reach out to your Sales Consultant for an estimated time frame.
  • Policy is only applicable to rings purchased from GS Diamonds

Domestic Shipping
Clients within Australia are responsible for shipping their items to us. They are responsible for insurance on their item whilst in transit to GS Diamonds. GS Diamonds will cover the cost of return shipping for complimentary services only. All other shipping to metro areas will have a flat rate fee of $50.

International Shipping
Clients located overseas are responsible for all shipping costs, both to and from the workshop. GS Diamonds is not responsible for any costs incurred if clients choose to have their rings resized, polished, or plated by a third party overseas. If clients do choose this option it will also void any GS Diamonds warranty on their rings.

Additional Services
Any additional repairs or services beyond the complimentary services will require clients, whether local or international, to bear all shipping costs.

Resizing Limitations

Please note that highly intricately designed rings and full eternity rings cannot be resized. GS Diamonds recommends that clients visit one of our showrooms before placing an order to ensure an appropriate fit.

If resizing is not possible due to design constraints, GS Diamonds may suggest manufacturing a new ring to reach the desired size. This will incur a fee. Each case will be individually assessed to find the best solution for the customer.

We aim to provide clients with a perfectly fitting and cherished piece of jewellery, and we will collaborate closely with them to attain this.

Resizing Reimbursement

GS Diamonds strongly recommends that clients return to us for any repair/resizing work that may be needed.

If clients are not able to visit our location, we are able to provide a resizing refund of up to $180 for two sizes up or down only when a client visits a member of the Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) for resizing services. The client will need to provide the original invoice to GS Diamonds for review.

Clients should be kindly advised that choosing this option will result in voiding GS Diamonds warranty for the item as part of our general Terms & Conditions

GS Diamonds Resizing Consideration

Please contact us before proceeding with any alterations outside of GS Diamonds and it’s workshops. If GS Diamonds find that resizing internally is the best option to maintain the ring's quality, we reserve the right not to provide the $180 refund. This ensures the ring is resized in the best possible manner.

Submitting an Invoice

Kindly provide us with the invoice from the JAA member jeweller who performed the resizing service. Our Head Office team will review the invoice and if it meets the criteria, approve the refund.
