3.3. Ordering & Activating the Software

This section explains how to order  Stellar Data Recovery and how to activate the software.

Order the Software:

  1. You can purchase  Stellar Data Recovery software online.

  2. If you have installed the demo version, you can order the software directly from the main screen.

  3. Run  Stellar Data Recovery.

  4. On the main screen, select Stellar Help (Buy Online).

  5. Follow on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.

  6. After the order is confirmed, an Activation Key is sent to the email address used during purchase.

 

Activate the Software:

You can activate the software online or offline. To save recovered data, activation is required.

Online Activation-

Note: Make sure your computer is connected to the internet.

To activate the software online:

  1. Run  Stellar Data Recovery.

  2. After file preview, select Unlock to Full Version. The Activation dialog box appears.

  1. Enter the Activation Key that you received by email. Select Activate.

Note:

  • If you do not have an activation key, select Get it now in Activation dialog box to purchase the software.

  • If the key is valid, the software connects to the license server and completes activation.

  1. The message “Stellar Data Recovery Activated Successfully” appears. Select OK.

Offline Activation-

Use this method if online activation is not available.

  1. To  activate the software offline:
    1. Run  Stellar Data Recovery on the offline system.

    2. Select  Stellar Help More Options and select Offline Activation.

    3. Offline Activation dialog box appears.

  1. Select Stellar Help to copy Registration ID shown in the window.
  2. Send an email to support@stellarinfo.com with:

  • Registration ID

  • Activation Key (received by email after purchase)

Note: You can select Send to create an email automatically. Add Activation Key and send the email.

  1. After verification, Stellar Support sends you a License key to activate the software.

 

  1. Steps to Activate the Software:
    1. Run  Stellar Data Recovery on the offline system.

    2. Select Stellar Help More Options and select Offline Activation.

    3. Offline Activation dialog box appears.

  1. Enter the License Key in Offline Activation window. Select Activate.

  1. The message 'Stellar Data Recovery Activated Successfully’ appears. Select OK.

Activation Errors and Solutions

You may see errors during activation. The table below lists common issues and their solutions.

Check the key for typing errors.

Extra spaces in key

Remove blank spaces before or after the key.

No internet connection

Connect to the internet and try again.

Older version installed

Uninstall the older version and reinstall the latest version.

Offline activation fails

Follow offline steps again or contact support.

Server timeout

Wait a few minutes and try again.

License expired

Check license validity or contact support to renew.

Activation limit reached

Deactivate on another device or contact support.

Incorrect date or time

Correct system date and time, then try again.

10

Wrong activation code

Use the activation key sent to your email.
