Today, the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, is co-leading Mistral AI’s €3 billion Series D, the largest equity fundraising ever completed by a European technology company. In the first wave of generative AI, the central question was who could build the most powerful model. Organizations and governments are now asking a different one: how to harness the power of frontier AI for their mission-critical needs without surrendering control over the infrastructure and intelligence loop. Flip AI automates the work that fleet managers currently do by hand across disconnected systems. Diagnosing charger faults, opening vendor tickets, alerting teams to delays. It reads across a fleet’s entire digital stack and takes action on behalf of the operator. This is tangible evidence that the Flipturn acquisition is already delivering. We said it would strengthen our software offering and create a more integrated electric freight technology stack. I knocked the model out of his hands, sending it crashing to the floor, and yelled: “What is this!? An airplane for ants?” Since then, Anders and the team have taken my feedback seriously and scaled up the aircraft to become the largest electric airliner ever flown. Ted Persson har delat dettaI’m heading to Helsinki for Slush this November, and particularly looking forward to sharing the stage with Anders Forslund, co-founder and CEO of Heart Aerospace (I just noticed I'm not even connected to him on Linkedin despite having worked together now for 8 years, so I'll keep it that way, haha). The timing feels pretty special. Heart just completed the first flight of X1, the largest battery-electric aircraft ever to take to the skies. I’ve followed Anders and the team on this journey for years, and seeing an ambition this big actually leave the ground is one of those milestones you don’t forget. At Slush, we’ll talk about what it really takes to build and scale a company attempting something this ambitious from Europe, the technology, capital, persistence and probably a few lessons from the journey so far. Ted Persson har omdelat dettaTed Persson har omdelat dettaThe world’s largest battery-electric aircraft has taken to the skies. ✈️ ️ A huge milestone for Heart Aerospace as its X1 demonstrator successfully completed its first flight at Plattsburgh International Airport in New York. With a 106-foot wingspan and takeoff weight exceeding 25,000 pounds, X1 demonstrates all-electric flight at a scale relevant to commercial aviation, and marks an important step towards Heart’s ES-30, its 30-seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft. Heart believes the ES-30 can reduce operating costs by more than 40% compared with today’s regional aircraft, with orders and options already from airlines including United Airlines, Air Canada and JSX. Huge congratulations to Anders Forslund and the entire Heart Aerospace team. An extraordinary technical achievement, and another step towards making regional air travel cleaner, more affordable and more accessible. 🙌

Then, a conversation with Chief Brand Officer, Charlie Smith and Associate Principle Industrial Designer, Philipp Von Lintel. Together, they unpacked everything that went into our most ambitious listening experience yet... and introduced V as our Global Brand Ambassador. What followed was a roundtable with some of the most distinct voices in music culture. Multi-hyphenate artist Kelela joined producer and recording artist Navy Blue with Global Head of Comms, Shavone Charles. The question: What does the next generation of creators need today? The framework covers hardware, software, AI behavior and the operating environment, and treats safety as something maintained across the full deployment lifecycle rather than verified once before deployment. Then came DreamZero, a paper that made something click: a system predicting what happens next in video is doing the same thing a robot needs to do to predict what an action leads to. Video and robotics, same problem in different clothes. A robot doesn't just see, it feels pressure, temperature, touch. Since our model already speaks in pixels, we just needed those signals in the same language: turn pressure, temperature, and touch into pixels, and feed them into the same model.
