Not a pilot for civil servants, or a subsidy for startups. Just the whole country, switched on. I think this is one of the smartest industrial-policy moves of the year. Here's the math behind it: when societal adoption goes up, the economic impact follows - and it's far bigger than the cost of getting people started. People who use AI privately stop fearing it professionally. They bring it into their companies instead of sabotaging it there. There is a study that roughly 1 in 3 employees admits to actively working against their company's AI rollout. Fear shrinks when familiarity grows. Adoption is a flywheel, and Korea just gave theirs a national push. So here's my honest question to Switzerland - and to our Bundespräsident Guy Parmelin: How do we raise AI adoption here? We have everything: the #1 density of AI researchers worldwide, ETH and EPFL, the research labs of nearly every major tech company in Zurich. We are an innovation country by identity. But identity isn't adoption. A country that leads in AI research and lags in AI usage leaves its biggest advantage on the table. Korea decided adoption is infrastructure. That mindset would suit us well. What would move the needle here? Genuinely curious about the answers.

It took the whole team pulling together to make the day run smoothly – from planning logistics to keeping everything on schedule while the camera was rolling. In the middle of the hectic day we made sure to slow down for a bit, enjoying lunch together in the sun. This day was a good chance to show, rather than just tell, how we find ways to work with the forest rather than against it. We're excited to see how the story comes together on screen. Apple learned this. Tesla learned this. We're learning it every day, one tree at a time. We build our robot, our vertically integrated drone and harvesting tool, in-house: the electronics, the software, the mechanics. And the question we get most often is why. The assumption is usually that the hard part is the subsystem. The motors, the battery cells, the sensors. But those you can buy. What you can't buy is the interface. Outsource the inside of a box and you still inherit every wire, protocol and failure mode at its boundary. That's where things break. So we build the flight control electronics, the motor control electronics, the entire control system, the backend, the battery swap technology, the tool. That's why we can make them collaborate, and why we can move fast. When something fails at flight altitude, "the vendor is investigating" is not a diagnosis. When we want to change how the drone responds to a wind gust, the timeline is days instead of a procurement cycle. We don't own every component but we own every interface. Ruth and Elliot Handler weren't just business partners. They were husband and wife, parents and together, the founders of Mattel, the largest toy empire the world has ever seen. Think about what that meant. Two people, under one roof, each backing the other's wildest idea instead of competing with it. When Ruth dreamed up a doll that looked like a grown woman an idea the industry told her would never sell she didn't have to fight for belief at home. When Elliot chased miniature cars with real detail, the same. They didn't shrink each other. They multiplied each other. And that's the part we don't talk about enough. We obsess over strategy, capital, timing, talent. But the single most underrated variable in anyone's success is far quieter: who is standing next to you. The right partner in business or in life hands you courage on the days you've run out of your own. The wrong one quietly drains it, one doubt at a time. One partnership turns a risky idea into Barbie. Another buries the same idea before it's ever spoken aloud. Partners can make you or break you. Rarely do they leave you unchanged. I've felt this deeply in my own journey. The people beside me my co-founders, my mentors, the ones who believed in the vision before there was proof didn't just support the work. They made the work possible. You don't build anything lasting alone. You build it with people who see your dream as clearly as you do. So choose them carefully. The Nordic power market is moving from hourly products to 15-minute time periods — and while that may sound simple, it’s a fundamental shift. Market participants have been preparing for years, but the transition is challenging: the 1-hour mindset is deeply embedded in systems, processes, and even code. In the short term, we expect to see some interesting price effects. With 96 periods instead of 24, mismatches between quarter-hour bids and legacy hourly structures could drive volatility — especially during ramping hours like mornings or late afternoons. This can create short-lived price spikes or drops, with the effects spilling over into imbalance markets. We see some of this already for example in NO2 for tomorrow's prices - check out the graph below (image source: Energinet, Energy Data Service — data.energidata.dk. Licensed under CC BY 4.0). Over time, bidding behavior will adapt as production and demand sides adjust more smoothly to the new granularity. But in the coming months, we may see some fascinating dynamics as the market learns to think — and trade — in 15 minutes.
