How to Use the Payout Calculator

Our tool helps you determine how much a particular bet in roulette can return. The interface is designed so that all calculations are performed automatically; you just need to place chips on the betting layout. The process is as follows:

  • Select a chip value from 1 to 100 and place it in the sections of the table that interest you.
  • If you make a mistake, use the “Undo” button to cancel the last action (you can undo several steps if necessary).
  • The “Clear Bets” button completely removes all placed bets from the table.
  • The total amount of your current bet is shown in the “Total Bet Amount” block.
  • When everything is ready, click “Calculate” to get the results.

The results will appear directly in the cells where you placed your bets. The numbers shown in these areas indicate the potential payout if the ball lands on the selected number or the corresponding section.

Roulette Payouts: Charts and Explanation

When we talk about payouts in roulette, we refer to one of two possibilities. The ratio of the payout for every bet or the end payout once the spin ends. All roulette bets come with their own payouts. They are dependent on the particular roulette game version. In this article, we will explain how to easily determine payouts and cover everything there is to know about the specific payout values.

Calculating the Payouts

Manually calculating the roulette payouts is a bit of a hassle, but it’s, in fact, very simple. The basic equation we use for calculating the payout is X:1. From here, the X value refers to the payout of the bet you placed, and the 1 is the bet you used. Here’s how it works in real-life examples.

  • If the payout is 17 to 1, you will make a profit of 17 base units for every 1 unit you place as a bet. So if your base unit bet is AU$10 for a 17-to-1 payout, the total payout is AU$170. You just multiply the 10 base unit bet by the 17 payout, and you get the total payout of 170. It’s as simple as that.
  • For the most popular even money bets, the payout is 1 to 1. This means that for every AU$100, you bet your profit will be AU$100.
  • You also need to consider the fact that, on top of the payout, you also get your initial bet unit back. This means that on top of the AU$100 profit you made, you also get your original bet of AU$100 back.
  • As you can see, calculating your payouts using the equation is quite easy. The number on the left is the multiplier of your bet unit. For example, if you bet on an 8 to 1 payout, you need to multiply the 8 by your bet size to determine what the total payout would be.

On top of that, you can place multiple bets across the table, and they can all be a winner. For example, if you place several bets, like 1 to 1, 8 to 1 and 12 to 1, you collect the payout for all of the winning bets.

Example

  • We bet AU$100 on red. For the second, we put an AU$5 chip on a corner bet, covering the numbers from 4 to 8. For the last bet, we put AU$25 on the third dozen.
  • You placed a total of AU$130 in bets on the table.
  • The winning number comes up to be 5, so you lose the dozen, but you win the corner and red bets.
  • This means your total payout will be (100 x 1) + (5 х 8) - 25 = 115
  • You also win back the bets you placed on the winning numbers, so you get an additional win of $105
