In 2018, Evolution launched a group of games called First Person, including roulette. Initially, these were 3D versions of standard roulette variants – American and European – but in 2019, Evolution launched First Person Lightning Roulette, an RNG version of the well-known Lightning Roulette. In this case, we have a 3D game without a dealer and with the ability to play in a demo version. In all other respects, the mechanics are the same as in the live version. That is, there are also multipliers up to x500.
Features of First Person Lightning Roulette
If you are familiar with the live version of the game, then you already know all the main features and will not find anything new here. But for beginners, we will consider it in more detail. First Person Lightning Roulette is based on European roulette. Therefore, there is one cell with 0 and cells with numbers from 1 to 36. However, the mechanics of the game are slightly altered here. Let's take a look at the main features:
- Multipliers: After you place your bets, lightning will highlight the areas on the layout where 1 to 5 lucky numbers can appear. Each number will be assigned a random multiplier from x50 to x500. If the number chosen by the player matches one of the lucky numbers and it wins, then the winnings will be multiplied by the multiplier. Let's say you bet £10 on a straight-up (9 red), and it turns out that your bet is one of the lucky numbers, which is assigned a multiplier of x100. Then, in case of a win, you will receive £1,000 plus your bet.
- Payouts: It is important to note that multipliers work exclusively with straight-ups. Because multipliers can bring a higher win than 35:1, as in standard European roulette, here, a straight-up without a multiplier has a payout of only 29:1.
- RTP: For the reason we described above, the RTP of the game has also been changed, and while for all bets except straight-up, it is equal to 97.3%, for straight-up bets without multipliers it is, as the provider claims, 97.10%. It's not for nothing that we've indicated that the provider claims so because, in fact, the RTP for straight bets here is lower, at 81.08%. We described this in detail in one of our articles.
Now, briefly about other options: here, as in other games from Evolution, there is an autoplay function, statistics, the ability to place bets on the racetrack, as well as the Favourite Bets function. We will talk about it in more detail below.
