Not long ago, Evolution, in addition to its already extensive selection of live games, released another live roulette with multipliers called Fireball Roulette. So, what makes Fireball Roulette stand out this time? On the one hand, Fireball Roulette, like other games with multipliers, is based on the rules of European roulette, and as in other games, multipliers are applied only to straight-ups. The maximum possible multiplier is x2500, which already distinguishes the game from its predecessors, Lightning and XXXtreme Lightning Roulette. Let's take a look at the features and mechanics of the game.
Features and Gameplay of Fireball Roulette
As we already mentioned, the game is based on the rules of European roulette, and multipliers are applied exclusively to straight-ups. This means the RTP for all bets except straight-ups is standard and amounts to 97.3%. As stated by Evolution, the RTP value for straight-ups is 97%. And as you already know from other games with multiplier mechanics, since they increase potential payouts, the payout for straight-ups without multipliers is reduced. In the case of Fireball Roulette, the payout has been reduced to 25:1, instead of the usual 35:1. For all other bets, the payouts correspond to the standard. So now let's move on to the mechanics.
After players have placed their bets, the dealer launches a single-reel slot machine that determines the amount of Bonus Numbers. There can be from 3 to 7. Then, randomly, bonus numbers are selected on the betting grid. Usually, these numbers are not assigned multipliers. Still, in some cases, the lava animation will show a random multiplier in the range of 2x to 20x, giving players the opportunity to enter the bonus game and multiply the accumulated multiplier during the bonus game. After all bets have been placed and the bonus numbers selected, the round begins, and players receive payouts based on the outcome. If one of the bonus numbers wins, the player proceeds to the Fireball Bonus Game.
In the bonus round, the dealer moves to another room with a grid with 149 multiplier cells. After launching the ball, it lands on one of them, and accordingly, the player receives a payout equal to the bet amount multiplied by the landed multiplier. In this grid, the multipliers are divided into Regular and Double multipliers. Regular multipliers range from 30 to 500, and the player receives a payout based on the multiplier it land on. If the ball lands on a Double multiplier cell, marked on the grid as x2, then all regular multiplier values will be doubled, and the ball will be launched again. In this way, it is possible to reach the maximum multiplier of x2500. After the bonus round is completed, the dealer returns to the main studio, and the whole process starts again.
Overall, the game mechanics are clear and interesting. As for additional options, as in other Evolution games, players can use the Favorite Bets, Racetrack betting, and Autoplay options. The only distinctive feature of Fireball Roulette is the Fireball Chaser, which is essentially a bonus purchase option. It is located on the left side of the game screen. When using this option, chips are placed on the cells of the bonus numbers. This means that if one of the bonus numbers is a winning one, the player is guaranteed 100% entry into the bonus round. However, using this option costs 13.6 times the bet amount. If your bet denomination is $1, then using the Fireball Chaser will cost you $13.6. After the bonus numbers are determined, bets of $1 are automatically placed on these numbers. This means that you can, in fact, avoid placing any other bets. Simply use the Fireball Chaser, and the bets will be automatically placed on the Bonus Numbers. However, if bets are already placed on the Bonus Numbers, both amounts are combined. For the Fireball Chaser, the RTP is specified at 95.10%.
