Abhishek Desai shared thisThanks Sunit Gajbhiye for your kind words.Abhishek Desai shared thisWhen your neighbourhood cricket scorecard becomes the launchpad for a global platform, you know someone was paying attention to missing pieces. That someone is Abhishek Desai, and CricHeroes is the answer he built for millions of players who never stopped loving the game. Abhishek didn’t start with headlines or a grand plan to “disrupt sports.” He and his co-founders began by solving a tiny, stubborn problem: how grassroots cricketers could reliably score, stream and expose their games in a world built for elite cricket. What began as a better scorekeeping app turned into a network that now organises grassroots cricket across countries. Today CricHeroes claims millions of players and scores hundreds of thousands of matches every month, and recently closed a $1M bridge round to scale that vision. This is a founder story that reads like a playbook: spot a real friction, obsess over the user, scale the network, then productise the data and community. From ball-by-ball scoring to AI highlights, CricHeroes turned a functional tool into an ecosystem, recognition, performance analytics, live streaming and merchant opportunities for local cricket economies. If you’re building something, two lessons from Abhishek’s journey stand out: 1. Start with the smallest, most visible pain your user feels every week. Fix that first. 2. Built for the long tail, networks and communities are product-market fit on steroids. If this story inspires you, drop “Grassroots” and I’ll share a short thread on the product moves that turned a scorecard into a sports platform. #CricHeroes #AbhishekDesai #SportsTech #GrassrootsCricket #IndiaStartups #FounderJourney #ProductThinking #NetworkEffects

Abhishek Desai shared thisSharing a podcast with the CEO of one of cricket’s most admired brands felt surreal. And as always, a visit to the SG factory turns me into a kid in a candy store - every single time. Grateful to Krishnank Atrey for creating this platform and making this conversation happen.Abhishek Desai shared thisI didn’t play cricket for India… but I just lived a moment that felt just as big. As a kid, I dreamt of playing cricket at the highest level. And every time I held an SG bat, watching legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag & Suresh Raina use the same blade… that dream felt alive. This week, life came full circle. I hosted two leaders shaping the past, present, and future of cricket on my podcast — The Allrounder’s Show: • Paras Anand — CEO, SG (World's Largest Cricket Gear Brand) • Abhishek Desai — CEO, CricHeroes (World's Most Used Cricket-Scoring App) SG built my childhood obsession. CricHeroes has documented my entire cricketing journey — 8000+ runs | 35–40 average | 145+ strike rate | 250+ matches To sit with the CEOs behind both worlds… was surreal. This episode is special. Not just for cricket — but for the kid inside me who never stopped dreaming. Coming soon :) Sanspareils Greenlands Pvt. Ltd. CricHeroes

Abhishek Desai shared thisWhat stood out to me about the Indian Women’s Blind Cricket Team is the way they approach the game. Their game has a sense of purpose; they trust their roles and most importantly they stay fully present in every moment. There is a certain sharpness in how they play that reflects the work they have put in over the years. For all of us, it was a proud moment that this historic campaign was scored on CricHeroes. Supporting cricket for the blind is not an initiative for us. It is a reflection of what we believe the game should represent. Every cricketer deserves respect, care and recognition for their efforts. This win is a reminder of how far passion and preparation can take a team. Congratulations to this incredible group of players.Abhishek Desai shared thisLast week, the Indian Women’s Blind Cricket Team created history by lifting the first-ever Blind Women’s T20 World Cup. Many of them come from farming families, rural schools, and small towns. Nothing in their path was easy, and yet their passion never once gave way for doubt. At CricHeroes, we’re genuinely proud that this historic World Cup was scored on our platform. Match after match, the Indian team kept reminding us that when discipline finds the right opportunity, extraordinary things happen. This win will shift how the country sees cricket for the blind. And for us at CricHeroes, it strengthens our belief that every cricketer deserves respect, and a place to shine. Congratulations to the Indian Women’s Blind Cricket Team, the coaches, and the Cricket Association For The Blind In India What you achieved will inspire countless others for years to come. 💫

Abhishek Desai shared thisI have played cricket most of my life and I have met enough men to know that we carry a lot quietly. We take on stress, expectations and pressure, and we keep moving because that is how we have always learned to live. I also know that every man needs a space where the mind becomes lighter and the heart feels free. For many of us, that space has always been the cricket ground. And since CricHeroes is so deeply connected with grassroots cricketers, it feels right for us to acknowledge this. This film is a reminder that when life starts to feel heavy, the game can give you a moment of peace. A moment to breathe, to feel alive and to reconnect with yourself. If this film encourages even one man to step onto the ground and let a little weight off his shoulders, it has done what it was meant to do. Play your heart out.Abhishek Desai shared thisTo every man, We know you carry far more than you ever speak about. Bills, expectations, responsibilities, pressure, you take it all in quietly. Every day you put on a brave face and never share what you’re going through, believing it makes you look weak. This Men’s Day, we want to tell you that it’s okay to express your emotions. Somewhere between expectations and responsibilities, your heart deserves to breathe. You deserve a place to release the weight you’ve been holding on to. Let cricket be that escape. When life feels heavy, give yourself that chance. Just play your heart out.

What started as a vision to bring the biggest turf cricket action to town turned into an incredible weekend of high-intensity sports, digital engagement, and flawless execution. Managing an event of this scale was an invaluable exercise in sports operations, involving: Onboarding and coordinating 20 competitive teams from across the region. Leveraging CricHeroes for real-time online scoring, providing professional-grade stats, live match tracking, and an elite experience for players and fans. Managing multi-platform visibility, including a full YouTube Live stream to broadcast the action to a wider audience. End-to-end execution—from securing key corporate sponsorships to handling logistics and live match operations at Astro Turf. A massive shoutout to our power-sponsors, media partners, and every player who brought their absolute best to the turf. Abhishek Desai liked thisAbhishek Desai liked this"An unbelievable experience!" - SACS National Cup - Tournament Reflection Last week saw the inaugural SACS National Cup, delivered by TCA Sports Tours at Oakham School. Bringing together players from across the Surrey Academic Cricket Scholars (SACS) programme (based at The Kia Oval - Surrey County Cricket Club), the tournament provided Year 12 students with the chance to compete in a high-quality environment, build new friendships and represent their programme in a series of competitive fixtures. Set against the backdrop of one of the UK's leading cricket schools, the event showcased the strength of the SACS programme and the talent emerging from the state school game. Some players from the tournament will now have the opportunity to represent SACS in Holland later this summer, taking on a Dutch U19 Select XI in Amsterdam. Beyond that, some players will progress to the St Vincent leg of the Global Cricket Series in February 2027. Reflecting on the week, Judy Wallis, SACS Programme Manager, said: "This has been an unbelievable experience both personally and professionally, to see so many of the Year 12 cohort across the programme come together and play competitive fixtures in such an incredible setting as Oakham School. TCAST have been instrumental in providing an exceptional service and support to the Surrey SACS programme and we look forward to repeating the tournament next year – same time, same place!!" Chris Berry, Founder of TCAST, added: "One of our key objectives is to create meaningful opportunities for young cricketers to develop both on and off the field. The SACS National Cup perfectly embodies that vision. To see so many driven state school players competing in a high-quality environment, forming new friendships and creating future opportunities has been incredibly rewarding. We're proud to support the SACS programme and are already looking forward to building on the success of this year's event." A huge thank you to all players, coaches, staff and supporters who helped make the inaugural SACS National Cup such a success. Congratulations to the winners, Brixton Bold. 🏆 📊 Throughout the tournament, every ball, run and wicket was captured live using the leading cricket scoring app, CricHeroes. Follow LIVE matches, scorecards, leaderboards, boundary trackers, player statistics and much more via the official Global Cricket Series competition hub👉 https://lnkd.in/eUkq3_B2 We look forward to following the progress of those players selected for future SACS representative opportunities and welcoming everyone back to Oakham next year. #SACS #TCAST #GlobalCricketSeries #OakhamSchool #YouthCricket #PlayerDevelopment #Cricket #SchoolCricket

Abhishek Desai liked thisAbhishek Desai liked thisIn August 2024, I joined CricHeroes as an intern working on ball detection and DRS systems. What started as an internship soon became a journey into building products at scale. After my internship, I stayed connected with Rishab and Kuntal, and that's when I first got introduced to Capture CricHeroes' vision of making live cricket streaming simple for grassroots cricket. When I joined CricHeroes full-time in October 2024, Capture was already in progress, but the goal was to bring the entire product in-house and own everything from development to production. My initial months were spent understanding the product, its purpose, and the challenges behind delivering a seamless streaming experience. Then came January 2025. Despite being relatively new, I was entrusted with becoming the only primary developers working on Capture. Looking back, that level of trust on a rookie engineer was something I will always be grateful for. Thank you, Rishab Goel and Kuntal Shah, for believing in me when I was still figuring things out myself. The following months were some of the most challenging and rewarding of my career. We built Capture step by step. We learned from every field deployment, every customer issue, every failed stream, every network problem, every hardware limitation, and every late-night debugging session. We worked on real-time video streaming, edge AI, embedded systems, networking, highlights generation, remote device management, and making complex technology run reliably on a tiny single-board computer. There were nights when things broke at the worst possible moment. One such night was when MQTT unexpectedly failed and threatened to bring everything to a halt. A special thanks to Shail, who stepped in and helped us navigate through that chaos when we needed it most. Six months after launch, we had sold our first 50 devices. Today, in June 2026, Capture has crossed 200+ devices deployed across the world. Thousands of grassroots cricketers are able to stream their matches seamlessly, generate highlights automatically, and share their cricket with audiences everywhere. What makes me most proud isn't just the numbers. It's seeing a product evolve from uncertainty and countless iterations into something that genuinely helps people enjoy and showcase the game they love. A special thanks to Rishab Goel for constantly pushing new ideas and raising the bar. We've had our share of heated discussions, but every one of them was focused on making Capture better. Thank you, Kuntal Shah, for the trust and guidance throughout this journey. And a special shoutout to Shail Sheth, who came to the rescue during one of our toughest nights when an MQTT issue nearly derailed everything. Capture is more than a streaming camera. Proud of how far we've come, and excited for what's next. 🏏🚀 #CricHeroes #Capture #GrassrootsCricket #EdgeAI #ComputerVision #EmbeddedSystems #GStreamer #Streaming #EngineeringJourney #ProductDevelopment #YourCricketMatters

For many early-stage founders, the right funding isn’t just money, it’s momentum. Here are a few opportunities worth exploring: • SIDBI’s startup-focused credit & funding lines • MSME Innovation Schemes (especially for manufacturing & tech) • Startup India Seed Fund — perfect for idea-to-prototype stages • State-level startup missions (Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Kerala are leading examples) These can power your first build, your first hire, your first big leap. #StartupFunding #InnovationInBharat #EarlyStageStartups #SmallTownBigDreams #BuildInIndia #BharatEntrepreneurs #BusinessGrowth

Something interesting I noticed while watching the T20 World Cup on Hotstar. Two of the major sponsors on the broadcast are: • Google Gemini • ChatGPT Both are AI products. A few years ago, prime ad slots during cricket tournaments were dominated by fantasy gaming apps, fintech wallets, smartphones, and edtech companies. Today, AI models are sponsoring the biggest sporting stage in India. That shift says a lot about where the world is heading. A few thoughts: 1. AI has moved from labs to living rooms. AI is no longer just a developer tool. It has become a mass consumer product that companies want everyone to know about. 2. The new tech war is about mindshare. Companies like Google and OpenAI are not just competing on model performance anymore. They are competing on who becomes the default AI in people's minds. 3. Distribution is becoming the real moat. In technology, the best product doesn’t always win. The product that becomes habit wins. Sponsoring cricket in India is one of the fastest ways to build that habit. 4. AI is entering its “consumer internet moment.” Just like how internet companies exploded in visibility during the smartphone boom, AI companies are now entering that same mainstream adoption phase. And perhaps the most interesting part: Cricket advertising is one of the most expensive attention markets in the world. If AI companies are willing to spend there, it means they believe the next billion users will interact with AI daily. We’re not just watching a cricket tournament. We’re watching the early branding war of the AI era. 🧠

Influencers should think 10 times and ask 100 non-followers before launching a business. 🤐 The success rate of Influencer --> Entrepreneur is abysmally low. Dhruv Rathee has launched a startup called AI Fiesta. The platform offers users access to multiple premium AI models (like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) under one roof, allowing them to switch between these models within the same interface. He has priced the service at ₹999 per month for access with a monthly limit of just 400,000 tokens. Yet another me-too wrapper product

Tier-2 Cities Driving Inbound Forex Opportunity for AD2 & Fintechs — 2026 Outlook India’s inbound tourism recovery is now structurally shifting beyond metros, creating new corridors for cross-border payments, forex conversion, and regulated AD2 distribution. According to the Ministry of Tourism, Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTA) crossed ~9.2 million (2023) and are estimated to be approaching ~20 million visits (including NRI movement) by 2025–26 as international connectivity expands to non-metro airports. Key Tier-2 cities emerging as foreign tourist forex clusters: • Jaipur – Golden Triangle anchor; high concentration of luxury hotels and organized forex demand. • Udaipur – ~150K–180K annual foreign visitors (state estimates); premium leisure forex flows. • Varanasi – Spiritual tourism surge; foreign arrivals up ~25–35% YoY post infrastructure upgrades. • Ahmedabad – UNESCO heritage city; gateway for business + diaspora-linked inbound flows. • Tiruchirappalli & Madurai – Temple circuits driving consistent foreign currency conversion demand. Why this shift matters for AD2s & fintech cross-border stacks 1. Decentralization of forex demand Inbound currency conversion is moving from metro airports to regional hospitality clusters. 2. Merchant-embedded FX opportunity Hotels, DMCs, and travel aggregators in Tier-2 markets are becoming distribution rails for regulated forex. 3. Digital capture vs cash leakage UPI acceptance and prepaid FX integration create scope to formalize flows aligned with Reserve Bank of India compliance frameworks. 4. Corridor intelligence Spiritual (Japan/SEA), leisure (EU), and diaspora (US/UK) corridors are becoming geographically concentrated in Tier-2 hubs. For AD2 license holders and fintechs building travel-linked payment ecosystems, regional forex infrastructure will likely be the next competitive frontier. Spot on. The era of "growth at all costs" in EdTech is officially over. We watched billions pour into massive customer acquisition engines that didn’t actually solve underlying educational problems—they just digitized the same broken, one-size-fits-all systems. The companies surviving this consolidation phase are the ones with intense operating discipline, a clear path to profitability, and a relentless focus on solving deep, specific pain points for families. At Schoolio, we've intentionally avoided the hype-cycle valuation game to focus entirely on building a sustainable, durable business that actually serves neurodivergent learners. As you noted: capital raised is just a metric of debt, not success. Operating margins and real impact are what actually sustain enterprise value.
