Diablo 4 Talisman System Explained – Charms, and Seals Guide
How does the Talisman Work in Diablo 4?
The Talisman is a new feature that is introduced in the Lord of Hatred DLC. This feature allows players to add extra buffs on top of their usual equipment. Players can gain even more power without having to sacrifice or mess up their already loaded gear slots.
The Talisman essentially has 7 slots in total. The center slot is where Seals are placed, which essentially determines how many and what type of charms can be slotted into the outer ring of the Talisman.
What are Charms in Diablo 4
Charms are another type of special item in Diablo 4 that players can start acquiring after unlocking the Talisman. These items are what players can put into the outer slots of the Talisman, which provide buffs and bonuses. Charms can come in different rarities:
- Set
- Unique
- Legendary
When slotting Charms of the same set, they can provide additional effects that can give players even more buffs.
How to get Charms for the Talisman in Diablo 4?
Once players reach the endgame of the Lord of Hatred DLC and unlock the Talisman, Charms will start dropping overworld. They are not considered quest rewards and cannot be bought from merchants. They are considered as loot that players must then grind for, and find these charms with the best rolls for their Talismans.
What are Talisman Seals in Diablo 4?
Seals are special items that players can acquire to place into the center slot of the Talisman once they unlock it. They are the foundation of the Talisman loadout players and determine a lot of different things about what players can slot into the outer ring of the Talisman. Without Seals, players can't slot Charms into the Talisman.
Talisman Seals determine how many Charms players can slot into their Talisman. Each Seal will specify how many Charm Slots they unlock. Seals also have Affixes, which means they can be modified by rolling them.
New Loot Filter and Item Transmutation
A new Loot Filter will ease the discovery of desired items, you can now choose to filter out what kind of loot you wish to obtain when you head out to defeat demons. Another item update is the Horadric Cube, the Horadric Cube lets you craft equipment such as Unique or Legendary Items, Powerful gear, and Runes. You can also upgrade your items like adding or changing the affix of your gear or upgrading your charms.
