Following the previous titles in the series, Diablo 4 is set years after the events of Diablo 3 take place. Diablo 4 tells the full story of Lilith’s return to Sanctuary. With ceaseless demons to slaughter, countless Abilities to master, nightmarish Dungeons, and Legendary loot, this vast, open world brings the promise of adventure and devastation. Diablo 4 Wiki Guide is a compilation of Diablo IV guides, including all Classes, Abilities, Skill Trees, Weapons, Armor, and Legendaries. A community resource open to be edited by anyone, the Diablo 4 Wiki also features Build Guides, New Player Help, and overall game progress tips and tricks. This page will also compile all new updates, release dates, and features that have been announced till the game's release. Diablo 4 is the most recent installment that follows Diablo Immortal.

It is developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment and was announced during BlizzCon 2019 with a predicted release on June 6th, 2023. Developers have since announced a few mechanics, areas, and features that players can expect in this installment and have even opened up an Endgame Beta to give a chance to some dedicated Diablo players to receive an invitation to trial some of these features in the game. This game continues the series and follows the return of Lilith.

New Diablo 4 Class: Amazon

The latest BlizzCon brought with it a new class that is coming to Diablo IV: The Amazon. Seasoned Diablo fans might recognize this class as it was a staple in Diablo 2, and it's finally making a comeback in Diablo 4. It is set to be released in the first half of 2027 and will come with a Class Pack.

There are four Archetypes that are being worked on for the female-only Amazon class. Each one of the classes focuses on a different playstyle that stays true and relevant to the Amazon lore.

• The Champion: the sword-and-shield melee fighter using buffs to reinforce both herself and her allies
• The Skirmisher: a lithe and agile hit-and-run combatant tearing apart her foes with the Javelin
• The Ranger: a precision tactical archer who snipes and cuts down enemies from a distance
• The Commander: a general dominating the field with phalanxes of Valkyries at her call

The Amazon will join Diablo IV with a Class Pack in the first half of 2027. Class Pack and purchase details will be revealed sometime in 2027, closer to the class release.

 

Diablo 5 Announced!

In a video posted to Blizzard's official social media account, they revealed a 47-second teaser for Diablo 5, the next game in development following the story of Diablo 4's conclusion. The game is still in early development, and the video showed glimpses of the world, classes, and systems that are being worked on for the upcoming Diablo 5.

Players will assume the role of the Heir to Westmarch, a Lost Kingdom, while being accompanied by a Caravan, a group of survivors that will support the heir. There are also new classes like Demon Hunter, Monk, and Plague Knight, which are classes that were not present in Diablo 4.

 

Diablo Anime Announced!

During the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2026 on September 12, 2026, Blizzard president Johanna Faries officially announced that a new Diablo Animated Series is currently in development. The most anticipated series is in partnership with Netflix, and it marks the iconic franchise's formal expansion into televised animation.

While specific storyline details, an official title, and a release date have not yet been announced, Blizzard confirmed that the animated adaptation is set across the dark fantasy world of Sanctuary. Further information regarding the animation studio, showrunners, and voice cast will be shared as production moves forward.

 

Current Season: Hell's Leagacy

Diablo 4's current season, Season of Hell's Legacy, was released on September 15, 2026. This season introduces a new questline involving the echoes of the Prime Evils, Baal, Mephisto, and Diablo itself. Season of Hell's Legacy also commemorates Diablo's 30th anniversary, and these encounters will come in the form of reliving iconic encounters from Diablo's past games. These encounters will be refreshed and recreated specifically for Diablo 4.

Throughout the season, players will have access to a new Seasonal Item called Soul Splinters. These are items that you can acquire from defeating the Prime Evils and formidable Bosses. These items grant you a powerful buff, but equipping them will also place a curse on your character. Soul Splinters from the Prime Evils also let you "contain" their essence, which unlocks a reputation track tied to the evil.
