Last month we had the exciting opportunity to speak together with Expanse at the FMX - Film & Media Exchange and talk about the latest updates in Prism. The recording is now available in case you missed it. Fredrik Fottland 🔜 ANNECY, Richard Frangenberg, Eilef Sandnæs, Konstantin Schorer and Sigurd Sørlie presented a variety of different workflows and shared tips and tricks for working with USD across Houdini and Maya. We showed a bunch of upcoming features like: - a first glimpse of the new Prism ComfyUI integration - a Prism MCP server to automate complex workflows - multishot workflows for Houdini Slapcomps and Nuke - an OpenTimelineIO integration across multiple DCCs We also covered recent additions to Prism like ingest and delivery tools as well as new scene-building workflows. To bring all of this into the perspective of an actual studio production, the team from Expanse went into a deep dive of the VFX workflows for the movie "A Mouse Hunt for Christmas". Hello network, I recently put together an open-source plugin for the Prism pipeline called the Prism Dependency Graph. It provides a visual graph view for dependency relations within Prism. I shared this recently in the Prism Discord, but I am also posting here because I'm looking for anyone interested in helping to maintain it. If you work with Prism or pipeline development and want to contribute to an open-source tool, feel free to take a look. You can find the repository and code here: https://lnkd.in/ddJEVVGx #PrismPipeline #PipelineTD #OpenSource #Python #GitHub

Today we want to share the first teaser of our upcoming ComfyUI integration with you. This will allow studios to integrate new AI workflows seamlessly into their existing studio pipelines. We showed a preview of the ComfyUI integration last month at FMX - Film & Media Exchange. The full recording will be available soon. Here's a summary of the features of the ComfyUI plugin: - save, load, and version your ComfyUI workflows using Prism - load images, videos, and 3D assets from other DCCs into ComfyUI - export generated images and videos back into the project to bring them into other DCCs - run ComfyUI workflows on Deadline - integrate with the Prism Execution Graph to automate the triggering of ComfyUI workflows - run workflows locally or in the ComfyUI Cloud In the video, we also show an interesting use case of the ComfyUI plugin: After rendering a few shots in Houdini, we use the rendered images as references for a new shot. In ComfyUI, we apply the lighting and materials from the existing shots to a playblast of the new shot. The ComfyUI workflow is triggered automatically after creating a playblast in Houdini and is submitted as a Deadline job. The resulting video can give us an idea of how the shot will look in the sequence before rendering a single frame of it in Houdini. This is just one example, but with the vast amount of custom nodes available in ComfyUI, there are no limits to what you can create. The ComfyUI Prism plugin will be available in Early Access soon.

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you're having a great day ⭐ We’re so excited to see the trailer for Hungry by James Nunn and Signature Entertainment UK 🔥 a CG hippo horror - the first of its kind! Our team at Magic Dust 💫 were responsible for the CG hippo, FX water and fire elements, Bayou set extensions and, for designing the hippo model that was also used by the SFX team. Today we released Prism v2.1.2 and it's a big milestone for us! We added a complete new way to configure the Scene Building in Prism, which will save every artist a lot of time, no matter in which DCC they are working. We also added support for Maya 2027, 3ds Max 2027, added support for Houdini Recipes, Slapcomps and much more. Additionally we added a new IO Tools plugin for batch ingestions, version zeros and delivery packages. The Prism Hub is now also supported on Linux and Mac, which makes it easier to install plugins on these platforms. Besides all the new features we put also a lot of effort on the stability and bugfixes in this release. You can download Prism v2.1.2 now on our website: https://lnkd.in/esX34r45

With some plugins I created, you can now have a full open source AI pipeline. To get started, download and install these open source apps: --> Prism Pipeline: An artist-friendly pipeline tool for organizing and automating animation, VFX, and CG project workflows. --> ComfyUI: A node-based interface for designing and running advanced diffusion workflows. --> AI-Toolkit: An all-in-one training suite for diffusion models that can run as both a GUI and a CLI. Prism Pipeline does not natively support ComfyUI or AI-Toolkit so I created some custom Prism Pipeline plugins for Windows that you can download here from my portfolio site: --> Prism Pipeline ComfyUI Plugin: https://lnkd.in/g_7HthRY --> AI-Toolkit Pipeline ComfyUI Plugin: https://lnkd.in/gUJ_sGB4 If you have any issues with my plugins, reach out on LinkedIn. I just want to give a big shout out to Richard Frangenberg who created the Prism Pipeline application. I have done some work with Richard and he is a fantastic developer. I have also been using Prism for years and love it. You can say thanks to Richard by subscribing to some of the paid features or get your studio to adopt Prism as their pipeline.
