    Hi!I would love to structure my code in Miro, but the code block is not that great.I don’t need one that scales to fit all the code, I need a compact bock with scroll.And more maximum lines - 1500 - 1800.I do a lot of code with ChatGPT and i would like to have it arranged alongside samples and notes.Is it possible to improve the current code block ?Thank you!

    Keyboard shortcut for hide/unhideOpen

    As a workshop organizer, I hide and unhide lots of frames as we progress through the workshop (or course). When I discover we’re taking a different route than planned, I want re-organize the board’s frames. When doing that, I typically need to:unhide - click (can’t unlock frames if they’re hidden) unlock - Command+L hide - click (to avoid moving things inside a frame, and increase the ‘target area’ for moving the frame) move it - click unhide - click lock - Command+L hide - clickTwo things would help greatly:allowing unlocking of hidden frames a keyboard shortcut to hide/unhideI would guess that adding a keyboard shortcut to hide/unhide, would have very little impact on existing boards and on user’s current knowledge of how to use Miro. Thus that’s what’s being asked for here in this topic.

    Timeline – Choose days of the week or Exclude weekends for Days and Weeks optionsOpen

    When I create timelines, I tend to use the weeks setting, which helpfully places the dates in the header column. (See sample images below to clarify.)It would be really helpful for me and my team if the dates included only Monday–Friday. For example, This would mean the dates below would instead be Sep 23–Sep 27, Sep 30–Oct 04, and Oct 07–Oct 11. Planning conversations would be easier if my team and I could just look at this view rather than jumping between here and Google Calendar to see Friday’s date.

    Sticky note text wrappingOpen

    Hi, I use Miro basically in german language, but I guess that problem appears also in other languages. It is annoying that on sticky notes longer words are not separated in a correct way. This is a feature which is normal and works fine in a lot of other softwares.Right now I manually edited the text, but if I change the font size I have to delete again manually the separator-signs.I would highly appreciate this feature to be included in Miro.     Layers not easily discoverableOpen

    Sorry the conversation with Google ends up so brusque. But when you have to scrounge around five minutes to find a basic feature, and AI is conspiring with conflicting help documents to create distortions that take you even further afield than before, it’s frustrating.     Configure board defaults (and remove ads!)Open

    As a paying customer, I would like the to configure the way a board appears to anyone viewing it for the first time - both signed in Miro users and non-Miro users. I want them to experience the board as closely as possible to the way I designed it.This would apply for anyone - team members, non-team members, but mainly for anyone who does not have a Miro account (or is at least not signed in), e.g., anyone viewing the board publicly when the board’s sharing settings are set to: Anyone with the link can → View, Comment, or Edit.Currently, things like the navigation mode, canvas grid, and which tools appear in the left-land side content creation toolbar.My AskAs the board owner, I want to be able to configure the following defaults for new visitors to the board:Canvas grids are off/hidden. The bottom-left collaboration toolbar (frames, presentation mode, etc.) is collapsed. The bottom-right navigation panel/mini-map is collapsed. The board’s navigation mode is in Mouse mode and the bottom “navigation help” frame is off. Turn off “highlighted changes”, so that users don’t have to see numerous edits that have been made on the board - I got the idea from this Idea by @Margo Johnson (vote for it!) Additionally, if the board is in Edit mode, I want to specify which tools appear in the left-hand side content creation toolbar, e.g., Google Image search, @Max Harper’s Clusterizer.   Collaborators’ cursor OFF by default (thanks to @amy hosotsuji and this post) Set cursor default to Select mode (thanks to @Rich Nadworny  and this post)Current StateHere’s what I see as a non-Miro user viewing a board for the first time in view-only mode: Oh, and how convenient for Miro, but annoying for me as a paid user and my board guests that the No, thanks in the Try Miro for free animation doesn’t work! So, I’ll reload the board to get rid of it and we’re back to this ugly thing: I want to get rid of: With all of the above done, here is what I want a visitor to see: Some use cases:Using a board a landing page with my portfolio and a link to my LinkedIn page.     Option to make an entire object a clickable hyperlinkOpen

    I use the Link to very often. While the current functionality of having little blue arrow at the top-right corner of an object function as the clickable hyperlink is absolutely sufficient, there are times when I could like to make the entire object clickable.Example of the current solution using a button from the wireframe library (my use case): What I would like to have happen isthe cursor turns into a pointer; and be able click activate the link by clicking anywhere on the object.Example: I would like to see this new option be available for any object to a Link can be applied.

    Add a 'Time' As a Sub-Option within Date / As a Number FormatOpen

    Hey there, I’m managing social media and would love to be able to add a ‘Time’ differentiator in addition to a ‘Date.’This would allow an additional sorting option to Tables, so that you don’t have all entries under the same ‘Date' given the same priority when applying a Sort. This could be implemented as an optional modifier in the ‘Date’ custom field, or as an option in the ‘Number’ field:Bonus points for including the ability for a timezone call-out. Thank you!James.

    Calendar Grid View in TimelineOpen

    Hey there,(apologies if this has been raised before, I couldn’t find a similar post) As a social media manager, having a visual (yet dynamic) way of showing what posts we have coming up in our campaign is incredibly valuable. Whilst there is the Timeline view, this can quicky become quite overbearing when each ‘post’ requires a new line (somewhat helped by Parent/Child sorting). As such, a traditional Monthly Calendar ‘Grid’ would be incredibly helpful in either the Timeline or Kanban layouts.  Like this, with Days at the top, and each week split into a new rowI’ve managed to replicate this using Kanban by having Columns as ‘Day of the Week’ and Grouped by ‘Week of the Month’ to allow for entries to be moved around as required - but this is quite clunky, and requires manual entries for each ‘Date’ - as you can see below. By using a Table to replicate this view, I lose the dynamically changing card functionalities. Would be happy to speak to someone on the phone about this if more detail is required but I’m sure I won’t be the only person who looks after a calendar and has become a little frustrated in this regard. Thanks a lot!James.

    Hi, it would be great if Miro had a tally-counting tool. Like a simple widget; click +, the number rises, click -, it decreases. Useful, for example, to keep a dynamic (moving) score of an item on a board, as time passes.

    Presentation Mode: Make all hotkeys and shortcuts available when creation tools hiddenDelivered

    When a presentation is started and the creation tools are enabled, shortcuts and hotkeys work, e.g., Ctrl-Z/V, C, T, N, S, C.But, when the creation tools are disabled, all shortcut and hotkeys – except for C – stop working.I expect shortcuts and hotkeys always work.

    Talktrack: Real-time feedback that microphone is workingDelivered

    There have been times where my dynamic microphone was physically switched off/muted, but was still plugged in, so even though my computer/the browser/Miro's Talktrack feature could detect it, no audio was being picked up during the Talktrack recording.Please implement a real-time visual indicator that will provide the user with immediate feedback that:their voice is being picked up and the level at which it is being picked up, e.g., if they are perhaps too far away, the gain may be too low, etc.Here is an example from the Loom app:

    Ability to flip a component vertical or horizontal. There is a rotate feature, but rotating and flipping is not the same thing.In Inkscape a simple keypress of V or H while an object is selected will do a mirror flip vertical or horizontal.There is a similar feature requesthttps://community.miro.com/topic/show?tid=157&fid=32 but this is for Horizontal only, so created a new feature request as these two should be added together.

    Allow user edits to the slide template pop-up menuOpen

    The pop-up menu in a slide presentation can’t be edited by a user, it only shows Miro predefined templates. So even if I use a branded template, the options to add more slides only allows Miro styled slides to be added this way. If I simply click the (+) symbol in between slides, a blank page appears.I suggest the user can select what template(s) to show in the popup menu, or that it contains the user’s current template.

    A 3d organization capability would be really nice. I am imaging having a mind map built like a 3d matrix. This would allow for cleaner organization of topics/ideas, etc. The scroll wheel can be used to travel through depth layers.

    Interactive display - multi input workshop on screenOpen

    We have a large touch screen 5+m wide. We would love the option to work directly on the screen when together in the same room. Or connect two or more remote rooms. Having people engage on the same screen is a big plus for interaction. We don't mind that all contributions get assigned to the workshop facilitator account. The software for this kind of setup is usually expensive, so increased license cost would not be prohibitive. If there is a possibility to build a custom app via developer would also be interesting.What is missing to do this:Screen keyboard mode: pop up a keyboard where you select a text field. Multi touch input points: either with or without stylus.

    Folders (directories) in projectsIn Development

    Organizing boards in projects works fine, but it’s not enough when you want to use Miro as a serious archive for ideas, project documentation and company knowledge. I observe that if there are more than 5-7 elements per directory, it becomes less and less usable. Every single initiative we start, creates 2-5 boards. And it’s just one initiative in one of our products. Without directories, project view becomes a mess and is completely unusable. For me, it’s absolutely essential to maintain a basic structure of our knowledge and lack of directories is a significant blocker. I think especially nowadays, when the whole world works remotely, there’ll be more and more boards that will desire the comfort of a cosy directory. :)

    Fix Bugs & Improve Performance on the iPad AppOpen

    ProblemThe iPad app has been getting worse over time. Bugs make it feel unstable, and performance is poor even on the newest iPad Pro. It’s not the main platform, but many people rely on it for editing boards on the go.Requested Improvements    •    Fix the accumulating bugs — stability has been declining    •    Significantly improve performance, especially on latest hardware    •    Proper touch optimization — it currently feels like a web app ported over (e.g., selecting text triggers selecting the whole app/board instead)    •    Make interactions feel snappier and native, not like a browser wrapperWhy It MattersA large number of users depend on the iPad app for on-the-road editing. Right now the experience actively discourages that use case instead of supporting it.
