Our Care Program and Theraputic Approach

24/7 staff support, steady routines, and targeted therapies reduce triggers and build skills. Plans adapt over time to support safety, confidence, and long-term stability.

Behavioral Supports.

A key component of our program is medication management, with our skilled staff guaranteeing prompt and accurate delivery, monitors for side effects, and coordinates with psychiatrists for adjustments. This is crucial for maintaining stability, as inconsistent medication can lead to relapses. We also incorporate life skills training to teach practical abilities like budgeting, cooking, and personal hygiene, empowering residents to handle real-world responsibilities. We arrange transportation to psychiatric appointments. These sessions, encompassing individual counseling and group therapy, emphasize coping strategies, emotional regulation, and cognitive behavioral techniques for effectively managing hallucinations or delusions.

Nutrition & Wellness

Brookside Farm’s nutrition and wellness program is carefully crafted to deliver holistic support and personalized wellness plans for adults aiming to boost their health and vitality. We kick off with a thorough assessment at enrollment, collaborating with participants and their families to craft individualized goals that address dietary habits, physical activity, and enduring lifestyle shifts.

Vocational & Meaningful Activities

Vocational support is another key pillar, helping residents explore job training or employment opportunities suited to their abilities. Our staff members, all experienced in behavioral health, bring years of experience in schizophrenia care, ensuring compassionate and professional interactions around the clock.

Brookside Farm is a truly amazing facility. My stepson, who suffered from schizophrenia, lived there for more than ten years. During that time he came to love his Brookside family who provided gentle structure, careful supervision, caring attention to his medication and all his physical needs. The staff there made him feel cared for, secure, important and visible. They took him on outings for lunch or to the movies as he was able, and he truly thrived there. As a step-mom, I can say that Brookside was the answer to our prayers for a place where my relative would be happy, safe, cared for and loved. I give Brookside, its staff and ownership the highest recommendation as well as my lasting gratitude.
Brookside Farm takes amazing care of my son. They make him feel loved, cared for, and part of the community. From the great communication with staff members, daily activities/outings, 24/7 care they provide, and the wonderful food they are an excellent organization and I couldn't be happier to find a place like this for my son.
Brookside Farm is truly a exceptional facility for individuals with special needs. Having worked with them for over 25 years, providing massage therapy and outings, I can attest to their unwavering commitment to care and compassion. The staff's loving and nurturing approach create a warm, supportive environment where residents thrive. Their dedication to meeting each individual's needs is remarkable, making Brookside Farm a standout in care quality. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility to families seeking a place that feels like home.
