Since 1997, Brookside Farm has served as a licensed assisted living facility by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services. We specialize in providing care for adults ages 21 and older with mental illness, traumatic brain injury, developmental disabilities and autism.

Our residential facility accepts all gender identities. It has a bed capacity of 10, and we currently have openings with both shared or private rooms.

Admission Requirements Include:

Be medically and psychiatrically stable.
Voluntarily take all medications and attend necessary medical appointments.
Not pose an elopement risk.
Not pose a threat to themselves or others.
Voluntarily come to live at Brookside Farm.
Be able to respond to emergency alarms, follow verbal instructions, and exit the facility.
Be ambulatory or with an assistive device such as a walker.

Brookside Farm is a truly amazing facility. My stepson, who suffered from schizophrenia, lived there for more than ten years. During that time he came to love his Brookside family who provided gentle structure, careful supervision, caring attention to his medication and all his physical needs. The staff there made him feel cared for, secure, important and visible. They took him on outings for lunch or to the movies as he was able, and he truly thrived there.
