  • What’s the structure of the PMP certification examination?

    The PMP certification exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions, 25 of which are pretest questions that do not affect the final score and are used to test the validity of future examination questions.

  • What is the PMI audit process?

    PMI might randomly select your application for an audit to ensure that applicants comply with the PMP exam requirements. For example, applicants must demonstrate that they have led and managed projects before qualifying for the PMP certification. If you are selected for an audit, you will be asked to:

    • Verify your education

    • Provide evidence of your project management experience from supervisors, managers, or other senior colleagues

    • Share digital verification of your professional education/contact hours from a recognized training provider

    When you submit your application, PMI will immediately notify you if you’ve been selected for an audit. You’ll also receive an email notification.

  • Project Management Professional course curriculum

    The course covers key areas like project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. It aligns with the latest PMBOK® 7 Guide and includes topics on risk management, quality control, stakeholder management, agile practices, and more.
     

  • How long is the PMP certification valid for?

    A PMP certificate is valid for three years. After that, you can maintain your certification by earning the required professional development units (PDUs) to ensure your skills are up-to-date with current industry standards. You can earn your PDUs through continuing education from authorized training partners like Simplilearn and using examples of successful projects. This PMP training course will help you gain up to 35 of the 60 PDUs you need to maintain your certification.

  • How soon can I retake the PMP® exam if I fail it?

    After completing the PMP exam training, you are given a one-year eligibility period to pass the examination by PMI. You may take the PMP certification exam up to three times during your eligibility. If you fail the examination three times within your eligibility period, you must wait one year from the last examination date to reapply for the project management professional certification. However, you may apply for any other PMI certifications after failing a certification examination three times. When applying for revaluation, you can submit a written request to the PMI® certification department for review of their decision.
