This actually got me to log in and comment.
1. Your metaphors are a little overblown. Makes you sound pretentious.
2. Like other people said, the resources are just there to nudge you in a certain direction on which route to take. I want to upgrade one of my weapons, guess I'm gonna grab some bronze in the overworld. Oop I need more cattails, gonna go down this time.
3. The arcana cards feel closer to Mel's theme and once you get past a certain point, you'll realize why they couldn't have brought Zag's mirror over from Hades 1 instead.
Does this mean I think Hades 2 shouldn't be criticized? Of course not. I'm just saying these are nothingburgers to complain about. It's like you're grasping at straws to find something to complain about.
