I think this is now an established Nintendo capability pattern now at this point. Nintendo built the system they know that will fit the vision and fidelity of games they want to make for the lifespan of the system. They also consider current market trends to court triple AAA initially. Then that interest from both parties dwindle. Nintendo and the greater market are waaaay two different songs. Nothing wrong with the two existing, though I feel bad for the people who buy the system wanting the Nintendo exclusives and games like Clair Obscur. That always stinks, but hey, Nintendo Switch 2 is slim and doesn't hurt your hands holding it over your head?! Just your(my) fingers and joints.

The only sentence I disagree with here is "Crucially, the people who were loudest about The Odyssey..."

Can you prove that they were the loudest or are you microscoping onto bigotry because the loudest I noticed were people planning to see this in an IMAX 70mm theater.
