We’re expanding our partnership with ServiceNow to bring OpenAI models and agents into more enterprise workflows, from application development to IT and cybersecurity. The expansion will connect ServiceNow workflows with ChatGPT and Codex. IT teams will be able to find related incidents, assess change risk and update ServiceNow records directly in ChatGPT, with their organization’s existing business rules and permissions applied. ServiceNow also plans to give all employees access to ChatGPT Work and Codex, expanding adoption beyond engineering. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gHbXwD3D
This definitely brings value and has the potential to streamline enterprise workflows. However, it will be interesting to see how well permissions, security and existing business rules are enforced in practice, especially when it comes to bulk updating records through ChatGPT. Balancing automation with proper governance and control will be key to making this successful.
What made you choose ChatGPT over an other AI Agent?
Interesting that the ServiceNow integration keeps each organization's existing business rules and permissions in force. For long-running IT workflows, the next question is whether a session survives restarts intact: in our open POC 008 a finite session continued across separate OS processes with checkpoint bytes identical to an uninterrupted run (65 steps, CI on Windows and Linux). It is not infinite continuity and not general security. https://github.com/gjatalegacy-create/AIGovern-Cyber-POC008-Continuity
Bringing agents into the workflows where the work already happens is the right approach. Adoption is so much easier when people don't have to learn yet another tool.
Access beyond engineering is the part to watch. When more people in a company can produce working code, an engineer's value moves toward judgment: what to build, what could break, and how to review it. We expect interviews to shift the same way. Exciting to see AI moving beyond development into broader business workflows. Combining automation with existing permissions and business rules is key to enterprise adoption.
